Mylene's dream.

It was almost time for the meeting with Frederik and I had to be home to get ready.  So I arrived at Hosten's home and immediately summoned Fancy, locking us both in the bedroom.

"So?" I asked, hoping for good news from her.  At the point where I am, I can no longer afford to waste time.
I need to move up quickly.
I returned my attention to Fancy who nodded before answering.

"I heard the housekeeper and the duchess talking about marriage but I'm sorry my lady, I couldn't hear more because I couldn't risk being caught eavesdropping."

Fancy spoke, lowering her head in regret.

"It's okay! They must have been talking about Gabrielle's marriage which is in great peril."

I spoke reassuringly and convincingly before standing to Fancy's curious gaze.  I started laughing out loud to myself.

"You seem in a good mood my lady, did your date with the prince go well?"

Fancy asked the question, her eyes showing all the interest my actions were stirring in her mind.

"Indeed, better than I could have hoped for. Now it's just a matter of wrapping Frederik around my little finger even though it already is."

I sneered thinking of his gestures every time he was near me before looking at Fancy who hadn't finished talking.

"My lady, what are your plans because so far I do not understand them. You have only seduced these two men but I do not think your ambition is to be the unashamed woman of the kingdom then at  what do you aspire to?"
Fancy asked with a worried face and I turned to her.  I grabbed her chin making her look me directly in the eyes.

"And if I tell you that yes, I want to be the shameless woman of the kingdom will you believe me?"

"No, it's impossible that you want such a reputation."

Fancy responded emotionally, her little face flushed with fake anger as her cheeks puffed out.  She is so cute.

I started laughing loudly before starting to twirl around again.

"You're right Fancy, I don't have any plans to get people talking about me like that although it's bound to happen. If I want to have certain things, I should do a little pettiness involving men but never that will go further than tricks of seduction…I just want to be free."

I ended up sitting up, resting my hand on my thigh as my gaze seemed deep, lost, and longing.
Yes, I want to be free because only then can I finally be happy.

"To be free ?"

Fancy asked doubtfully at my incongruous answer.

"Yes, free. As a result, I need to be able to do everything I want so that no one else dares to tell me what to do or impose anything on me..."

I finished talking, chasing away the bad memories that were starting to flood my mind.  The past is far behind me, I can say that in this timeline it never existed.  I have to pull myself together and just use these memories of another time, of another world so as not to make the same mistakes and to be able to enjoy this life.

"I see...you mean being forced to marry someone against your will?"

Fancy asked and I nodded.

"Yes...in part...I mostly want to have what I want, the way I want it without having to be held accountable because, at this point, even royalty won't dare to challenge me."

I spoke with authority, my eyes were fierce as my mind was prepared for it.  How am I going to do it?  No idea but I intend to use all the means at my disposal, permitted or prohibited to achieve all my ambitions.

"My lady, you have very high ambitions. I hope you will achieve your goals."

"Oh, I'm counting on it...but by the way, I have something to ask you, it's a mission in fact"

"A mission ?"  Fancy jumped up from where she was and I smiled.  What a helpful and devoted servant!

"Yes...Is my lovely little sister home yet?"

I asked with a teasing laugh and Fancy giving me a curious look just answered.

“Ah, she…” Fancy made a disgusted face before continuing.
"Yes, she came back just before you and went to lock herself in her room…"

I got up walking towards Fancy.

"Have you ever entered her room? Do you know where she could hide something that she cares about and could have on hand at any time without having to look for it?"

"I've walked into her room several times but never been in her service for very long, I just know the layout...but my lady why these questions."

Fancy seemed puzzled and I decided to feed her curiosity.

"Just imagine that my dear sister wants to poison me and went to buy the famous poison today...I even think that she intends to use it on me very soon."

"But what a mess I…I see my lady. Do you want me to go through her things and bring you the poison?"

"Exactly! But first, you're going to go to the kitchens and take some sugar and put it in this bag."  I held out a small satchel under Fancy's nose and she took it without question.
I love my maid.

"This bag is the same color as the one the poison is in. You'll just change the sachets and then bring me the sachet of poison. Who knows, one day, it will be useful to me.

"Fine my lady, but I don't know if it will be easy with the other viper in the room…"

"So don't worry about that, it's just a detail. I've already prepared everything and I have excellent bait for her that she can't deny in any way."

"I see...so I'm going to the kitchen to bring back some sugar."

"Well don't take too long, I'll need you to get the black dress with lace and the black shoes with blue patterns ready, I'm going to the showers now."

"Yes, my lady."
