Let's mess around.

I took a few sips of tea as I put my cup on the table. Throughout the process, I observed each of Gabrielle's gestures, all of her behaviors, and her facial expressions.
I could even read all of Gabrielle's bad thoughts through her expressions. If I had to become comical, I would mimic it like "Go drink bitch... drink suffers and die" or something like that. It was pretty hilarious, to be honest, so much so that I had to bite my tongue not to burst out laughing.
How can she be so predictable? No, I decided to please her by drinking more of this "poisoned" tea under her satisfied gaze.

Gabrielle's eyes were so bright, I could have lit up the whole mansion with them. I stopped drinking for a moment for fear of giggling in my cup and getting tea in my nostrils. It was not good for me who flirted with Frederik; it would be disgusting.

I, therefore, drank my tea to satiety, almost emptying the cup before finally depositing it delicately on the table. I took out a handkerchief and brushed my lips elegantly before glancing furtively at Frederik, who, like a moron, had followed my every move. And we are surprised that his fiancée wants to kill me; he is not discreet.

"As I thought, it was truly exquisite; thank you, sister," I commented, congratulating Gabrielle.

The latter remained silent, not knowing what to say. Then she calmed down. It had to be a slow poison; it would certainly take effect in a few minutes. The woman who sold her this poison had assured her that it was not of poor quality and that the effects appeared almost immediately after ingestion.

She wiped the look of panic off her face and put a tender but no less forced smile on her lips, sporting her sweetest expression.

"Sister, it's nothing, and I'm sorry if I got your favorite tea wrong. Next time, I'll choose the best." Gabrielle punctuated the last words as I smiled.

In effect...

Gabrielle was now smiling brightly; her moment was soon to come, not to mention that the maid was still around. She had already arranged her melodramatic speech to cry, accuse, and almost hit the maid while Frederik tried to calm her down. She would put so much passion into it that it would be impossible to calm her down, and finally, her fiancé would carry her to her room to prevent her from performing in front of the nobles who had come to offer their condolences to the Duke.
All in all, a perfect plan.

I shook my head. How do you sell the bear pelt before you kill it? How desperate could this kid be? Well, it's Gabrielle who will have looked for the little beast, not me. My next actions will only be in self-defense.

"Well, I'm going to have to leave you now; I have to go see my father." I got up under the various looks of the two people around the table.

While Frederik looked sad, Gabrielle looked puzzled at Mylène's good shape. Why did she seem to feel so good? It was not normal.

"My lady…" Frederik wanted to speak, but I immediately retorted, leaving him no way to say something stupid.

"It was a pleasure to wait for Gabrielle with you, Sir Frederik De Solsten. I, therefore, leave you in the good graces of your fiancée."

Frederik closed his mouth, feeling the discreet accusation in Mylène's voice, and without another word, she turned to Fancy.

"Gabrielle, I'm going to have to leave with my maid; do you understand?"

Even though Gabrielle plans to incriminate Fancy for my "murder", she must not overlook that Fancy remains my servant, and as the tyrant everyone knows I am to the servants, or at least how they have portrayed me, I must leave with my servant by my side.

"Yes sister...I...." Gabrielle wanted to speak, but I was already on my way out.

Without another word, I walked out of the greenhouse, Fancy following me while the other two looked at me with varying expressions.
I smiled. Gabrielle wanted to mess with me. Okay,  then, let's mess around.
