10. Taken what is mine

I got one more night till villain com. One thing was definitely missing.

"Carl I need your car tomorrow!" he looked up at me. It was impossible, he couldn't give it to me and he needs it to get to work tomorrow. By bus or train was it not possible to get there. I sighted, "Don't worry, I got an idea." "I hope nothing illegal! "He shouted back at me.

"Don't worry. I just get something that is rightfully mine."

Back in my room, I opened my phone and dialed his number, "Horri sweetheart, I need a favor."

Through it, I could hear him chuckle, "What do you need shadow darling?"

I smiled, looking towards Gru's house, "A lift...to Freedonia. I need to pick up a few things."

While I was planning my little trip, Dru was sitting in the kitchen.

He couldn't sleep. His excitement for the convention is just too much. He got himself a hot chocolate and a few cookies. Gru woke up from the sound downstairs, "Dru, what are you doing here?" "I can't sleep" Gru decided to stay with his brother, getting himself a cup of coco. Suddenly one of the minions came in, filling the table with magazines. "What are these for?" said Gru, looking all over the titles, while Dru went through them. "Maybe there is some information about shadow" after a while, he found an article from thirty years ago. His father gave an interview on the local 'evil times'. These magazines collected Gru through the years, but both were disappointed on their search. Not a single hint about his henchmen. It was going to be a long night, as they went over thousands of magazines.

In the meantime, Fritz was on his way to bed.

He checked all the doors at the mansion before calling it a day. Suddenly, he heard a loud crash. In a matter of seconds, he got his night robe and went down to the stairs. He heard something, walking over glass. He got his shoe of, ready to throw it towards the intruder. He turned the corner and...saw a pig, over a shattered window. He was relieved, "Goodness, you scared me there little pig."

"Good evening Fritz"

He turned around and faced me now. His eyes widened, "Shadow." "The one and only. My fritz, you haven't changed much." Even though I was in my suit, I stayed in the shadows. Fritz didn't have to see me, since he recognized my voice, "Robert's lawyer is looking for you." I just looked bored at him, "so?" "Robert left you money behind", for Fritz it sounded good. My eyes turned to a glare, "I have no use for that old man's cash..." I faced into another direction, "...but he has some things that I call my own." The butler didn't understand at first, but as I headed towards the lab, he froze. "No you can't go in there!" "Why not?" "Robert didn't want you to get anything from the lab or even set a foot in there" Fritz got really nervous now. He knows that he can't stop me from going. I sighted deeply. I was fond of that butler; I would feel bad if I have to hurt him. I turned around quickly and sprayed something into his face...making him fall asleep immediately. I caught him during the fall, "I am sorry Fritz, but I have to do this." After I got him to bed, I checked through the lab. "What do I take with me?" I checked through the room, standing in front of Robert's painting, "Too bad I can't do anything to you now..." I made up my mind, "...but you got your sons and they will take your place."

I took Robert's villain wheels and with it...his entire stuff he has in the lab. Before I left, I took the painting down and cut it a few times, while laughing evil, "...this is only the beginning."
