i still write poems about you,
ones you may never read.
i still write about the way your eyes sparkle,
the way your smile makes my eyes soften.
but now my eyes don't only soften out of love,
they soften because of the hurt and the pain.
i still write poems about my love for you,
the love that's only one sided.
i still write poems about you,
poems i re-read everyday hoping to read them to you.
i still read the poems you tried to write for me,
but failed at miserably,
they're the only part of you i have left.
i still write poems about you,
because they are the only thing keeping me from breaking.

ok so this may not be good because i have never been through a heartbreak or written poems to anyone😭.
