Tammy holds the microphone. "Hello everyone! Some of you may remember me, I used to go here. I just graduated last year. I've been working at my dads record company and I'm thrilled to be back to witness this event. Music is sacred. A secret trust between musician and instrument. Chemistry and compatibility intertwine as a good band captivates an audience. I'm excited to see what the student body has deemed the four best bands this school has to offer. I won't be voting today, but I will be a guest judge at the finals. I hope you all have fun, that's the most important part."

Everyone claps as Tammy steps off the stage.

Kenny scoffs. "Sacred trust? The fuck does she know about trust. She's a hypocrite. Why is she even here..."

Kenny releases Leo's hand and sighs. "Damn it..."

Stan puts a hand on Kenny's shoulder. "Dude... try to ignore her. We have a really important performance here. If we make it to finals we get that cash prize. Then we also get a chance at the big trip. Cool your head dude."

"Right. I'm cool."

"Ken! It's been a while, hasn't it!" Tammy finds the group.

"Do you need something?"

"Just wanted to say hi. We used to be so close, I've missed you."

"I'm sure."

"It makes me happy you joined the competition. I always knew you would be an excellent musician. Ever since I put that guitar in your hands."

"None of this is you. All of my skill is mine. You aren't allowed to claim it for yourself."

"You're so harsh to me, Ken. Shouldn't you be a bit nicer to your judge?"

"You know nothing about 'nice'."

"Still mad, huh?"

"Yes. Can you just go? You aren't even supposed to be here yet."

"I came early to see you, Ken doll."

Kenny scowls. "I hate that nickname. Stop using it."

"Why? It's just a couple of words. Maybe if you weren't so sensitive..."

Leo steps between the two. "Stop."

"Who are you?"

"Band manager. As manager I need to put an end to this. The band needs to focus and we would all appreciate it if you would back off. Don't you have a show to go watch?"

Kenny smiles smugly from behind Leo.

"Hmm... I see..." Tammy turns and walks away.

Leo spins around to look at Kenny. "You okay?"

"... yeah."

Leo takes Kenny by the wrist and drags him off. "We will be right back, pep talk time."

Leo takes Kenny to the single stall bathroom across the hall. He shuts and locks the door before getting on his knees and pushing Kenny against a wall.

Kenny covers his mouth. "So suddenly?"

Leo starts unbuttoning Kenny's pants. "I can tell you're anxious. After an interaction like that, anyone would be upset. You can't go onstage like this. We need to clear your head."

"Clear my head by... giving me head? Clever."

"Shut up."

"Yes sir." Kenny smirks.
