Bunny - Battle of the bands

Chapter 52

Kenny stands in front of the mic and waits for the signal to start. He puts his guitar on and checks with his other band members.

More spotlights come on, which is the queue. Kyle starts the beat of the song.

To everyone's surprise, Kyle says the opening line with more confidence than he ever had.

"YUNG MONEY!"

Kenny smiles down at Leo for a boost of confidence as he starts to sing, then he looks forward, projecting his gaze.

They preform the song better than they ever had before. Kenny walked off the stage feeling confident.

Kyle and Stan hug. "WE TOTALLY NAILED THAT!!"

"That was the best we have done! That trip is as good as ours!"

The group moves to the crowd to watch TCTC. Stan, Kyle, and Cartman all stand in the back, not trying to get in anyone's way.

Kenny pushes his way to the front to find Leo.

He searches the front row but he isn't there. "Did he move to the stage entrance? I must've missed him..."

He searches the stage entrances but Leo isn't there either.

Kenny pushes to the back of the crowd to find the others.

"Hey, have you guys seen-"

"Dude we might be fucked..." Stan stares at the stage.

Kenny turns around. TCTC has taken the stage.

Everything seemed normal, except for the fact that three members had a mic in-front of them, and instead of a bass, Craig was holding a violin.

They start to play. Craig begins with an involved violin tune.

Tolkien uses his smooth voice to sing the words. Tweek does background vocals, and Clyde even speaks French. It was a masterpiece.

Stan speaks loud so that his friends could hear him over the music. "WE ARE SO FUCKED!"

Kyle folds his arms and shakes his head. Cartman throws down his drumsticks. Moop admitted defeat halfway through the song. There was no beating this performance.

Kenny snaps out of the daze the music put him in. He yells over the music. "Have you guys seen Leo? I can't find him."

Stan shakes his head. "I haven't, but you better find him! This song hits a little too close to home for him."

"Shit... you're right. Call me if you guys spot him!"

Kenny searches the crowd, going down every other row. Half the people in the audience were crying.

Kenny couldn't find Leo in the crowd. He steps into the hall and calls him a few times, no answer.

New notification: Leo sent an image.

Kenny opens the image that Leo just sent him.

It's Leo sitting in the corner of a room, he's curled up in a ball and he appears to be crying.

"What? It's obvious he didn't take this... so who did? That looks like the teachers lounge..."

Kenny runs to the teachers lounge. He opens the door and goes in.

"Is he not here..?"

The door closes behind him, he hears it lock.

Kenny turns around to see Tammy holding the key. "Hey, Ken. I knew you would come if I sent that picture."

"Tammy... what are you doing? Open the door."

"But it's locked."

"Unlock it."

Tammy pulls her shirt forward and drops the key into her bra. "If you want out, you need to unlock it yourself, which means you need to take the key for yourself. If not, then sit. We can just talk."
