Chapter 47

"Yes. My boyfriend. If you have a problem with that then we would gladly leave."

"Well obviously-" Cartman starts, but
Kyle puts a hand over his mouth to stop him.

Kyle smiles. "We don't have a problem with it. If you two are happy together then that's all that matters."

Cartman peels Kyles hand off of his mouth. "Kenny, can I talk to you? Privately?"

Kenny didn't want to hear what Cartman had to say, but he would much rather he say it when Leo wasn't around. "Okay."

Kenny turns to Leo. "I'll be right back."

Cartman and Kenny move into the hallway.

Kyle sighs and turns to Leo. "I guarantee you that he is going to say something offensive. Sorry about him, Butters. How are you doing? Things got pretty dramatic pretty fast."

"Yeah... they did. But I'm doing okay! Kenny is letting me stay with him until people stop mobbing my house, and he's helping me get through school too."

"That's good! It's important to stay positive, keep your head up, this should all die down soon enough."

"Thank you, Kyle."

"No problem."

Cartman and Kenny stop in a little dark corner outside the cafeteria.

"Kenny. I'm telling you this because I consider you my best friend."

"Is that so? If you want to keep it that way then you better choose your words carefully."

"Just understand I'm trying to look out for you. I want you to stay alive."

"What are you going on about?"

"Kenny, his last boyfriend killed himself because of him. Butters drove his last boyfriend to suicide... I just don't want the same thing to happen to you."

"I understand your concern, but that isn't what happened. If anything, Leo is good for my mental health."

"Okay. If you really like him then I won't stand in your way... just be careful."

"Huh... it's unlike you to be so concerned."

"I fuck around a lot, but not with death. I'd be outnumbered in our friend group if you weren't here."

"Well, whatever your twisted views are... thanks for worrying about me."

"Let's go back before your boyfriend gets picked apart by the vultures that our classmates have turned into."

"Right."

Kenny returns to his seat next to Leo. "I miss anything?"

Leo smiles. "Nope! Just hanging out. Surprisingly no one has tried to-"

Leo stops talking when someone throws a carton of milk at him. It explodes and drenches his sweater.

Kenny turns to look at who did it, but he sees a line of people, all holding food, staring at them.

"The fuck?"

A girl steps forward.

"Step away from him, Kenny. We don't want you to get hit in the crossfire."

"If you're planing on pulling more of the bullshit you just pulled, you have another thing coming. I'm not afraid to fight all of you."

Someone throws a cup of grapes at Kenny.

"Ha! Well, you started it."

Kenny picks up one of the many food items on Cartmans lunch tray and throws it.
