Rolling out of bed I groaned

Rolling out of bed I groaned. I've been teaching for about a week and a half now and it's been good. The kids are smart so that's always a start. I marked my first set of work two days ago and lord knows I'm going to have to ease up on the six point questions.

Saying a quick prayer I went to do my regular hygiene routine for the day. It's Saturday so that means dance practice. This is the first official one since I had auditions.  There were some real talented dancers at Crestview.

"Okay." I sighed. The dance team wasn't as small as I thought it was going to be. It was about thirty five at most dancers. Mostly females. Most of the males dropped out when they found out I was going to be teaching all styles of dance.

Deciding on not doing much with my hair I washed it in the shower and then let it air dry. I figured I'd just buy something on the way to the dance studio. Practice started at 10 so that it can end at 1. Although I don't think it should be that long considering we weren't preparing for any performances.

I guess I'll just teach them some techniques.

Parking my car I could see onika and them at the door waiting for me and I knew I was in for it. I was about an hour late, but I'm never on time for real. "Okay Ms.Girl where you been?"

"I stopped to get breakfast guys. Hello everyone." Almost everyone was here. Unlocking the dance rooms door i let them in. "Why you ain't bring us none?" Ari asked. "Ariana because I didn't want to."  I said now looking at everyone in the room.

"Where's Megan?" I asked setting my things down. Just as they were about to speak she came through the door. "A bad b is here." I laughed "hi Meg." "Hi Ms.J." She smiled.

"Okay you guys today is going to be simple, some simple terminology and exercises, but first rules." When I said that most of them started talking. "That was not an invitation to talk thank you. Before every practice starts we stretch and warm up. If the practice just so happens to be ballet we will do warm up's on the barre." I said pointing to the barre.

"If I'm not here and you guys arrive before me there shall be no 'exploring' you are to wait in the hall. Now let me tell y'all I don't like people and the lil weird vibes that be going around these days. So if I'm not here don't make any noise that'll cause people to come to me because I don't like people."

"No gum chewing while dancing or stretching so if you have gum in your mouth it should be out. Most days I will count '1,2,3' means I need quiet. '5,4,3,2,1' means everyone need to be in their spot and prepared for further instruction. We got all that?"

Everyone agreed. "Great, for those of you that don't know my name is Ms.Jackson and you are to address me as such." Smiling I sat down in front of them to begin stretching.

After stretches of course the little babies were crying. Some of them aren't used to it and they were using muscles in their body that they almost never use. "Alright Alright little babies." I said laughing. "For the remainder of practice we'll do something simple, dance walks."
