It's been two weeks. Two weeks of a rollercoaster of emotions. Two weeks of me racking my brain on how I could be so stupid. Why didn't I trust my gut? Why didn't I look into Kelly, why didn't I explore the home? Was I so blinded by the undeniable tension and lust between us that I just let everything blow away.

I sighed getting up as a knock erupted at my door. "Mommy, you can't stay here forever at some point you have to go back to work." I opened the door and turned right back around. "I know, I know. I'm getting up today." Nodding she kissed my cheek.

Same as she did for the two weeks I laid in bed trying to figure out where the hell did I go wrong. I have many degrees just because I quit my job doesn't mean I'll be jobless. I still have offers sitting in my email.

I got up and showered and cleaned myself up. My hair was still pressed so I combed it. Slipping on my night dress I sat against my headboard and grabbed my laptop.

I looked through my email at the job offers. Do I want to be a lawyer? Do I want to teach again? I got the offer to be the COO of one of the biggest law firms in Texas a while back and the offer was still on the table. I sighed and called Ariana it's lunch there so she should be free.

"Hey mommy, oh you look alive girl." I rolled my eyes playfully and Iaughed at her enthusiasm.

"Thank you, I want to accept this job, but I need your input on it because it invloves me being home less. "It's fine mommy, as long as you're going to be happy doing that job it's fine with me. You selling drugs?"

I laughed. "No I'm not selling drugs. It's a law firm. I'm going to be the COO." She beamed as she spoke.

"Okay that's cool especially since I know what I want to do with my life. We'll talk more when I get home momma I have to go to fifth." Nodding I blew a kiss through the phone as I hung up.

I was getting dressed because apparently I had to come in for an interview. I didn't even remember how these things go. Especially since my last interview was a hi and a goodbye. Shaking it off I grabbed my purse and left the comfort of my home.

I made it to my car and said a quick prayer before I started my journey. It wasn't too far away from home so it didn't take forever.

I had to make some stops first. To Dunkin of course. I drank my coffee on the way there careful not to spill it on myself. .

Once I parked I got out grabbing my purse. "Goodmorning can I help you?" I nodded smiling. "I'm here for an interview, I was sent an email stating that I was needed to be the COO at this firm."

Just as she was about to speak a make came walking out of some double doors. "Ms.Jackson?" I nodded. "Welcome, if you come with me we can get started."
