"Look up

"Look up." I looked up right into Arianas camera. "Why do you insist on taking pictures of me all the time?" I asked her dusting myself off. I couldn't really teach in these jeans especially since they weren't dance attire. "Why not?" She asked confused.

"I mean at least she let's you know, we have so many off guards of you it's crazy." Hannah said and they all agreed. "You're really pretty so I see why they take pictures of you." I smiled. Aaliyah started attending this school some time ago.

I actually didn't know she was going here. She was telling me over the phone one day about this school with a fine principal but because she was new she didn't remember the name. I had no idea she was talking about this school.

So when I quit my job with Alex I told her that I was going to teach again and then we bumped into each other in the hall and here we are. Aaliyah is a girl of many talents. The girls accepted her pretty quickly and I was greatful for that.

Especially greatful that my jealous child didn't act out. Thinking about the way she acts sometimes makes me laugh. "Okay guys get changed and in positions for stretching. Who wants to lead them?" I asked.

Ari raised her hand I nodded. "Alright, ten minutes to stretch this class because you guys have choreography to learn." I clapped. "Let's get to it!" I took out my extra set of clothes and changed to teach.
I ignored my ringing phone for the thousandth time today.

Alex was blowing me up. I don't understand why. If you've moved on why can't I? I rolled my eyes and turned my phone off. "Are you stretching with us today?" Onika asked and I nodded. They all cheered.

"What style of dance is the choreo?" "You'll see." I said to Megan because she definitely hated modern contemporary. She can do the technique needed for my class she just hates doing it. She prefers majorette and jazz.

Onika was the same way. Ariana was definitely into everything. Aaliyah was a hip hop dancer through and through. I always picked Hannah for the more technical dances. Her technique has improved so much since I've been teaching her.

Literally all of them can do ballet and I don't just say anyone can do ballet.

All of them are great dancers but they were too comfortable in what they wanted or what style of dance they prefered. "I just hope it isn't contemporary." When she said that I laughed. "Dance is not meant to be comfortable the whole point is to enjoy it but also accepting the fact that you'll be out of your comfort zone."

I felt like I had to explain this to them all the time. "We know, we know!" Onika whined making me laugh. I got up and did a heel stretch before telling them to stand. "You just throw that leg anywhere."  I rolled my eyes and chuckled at the remark.

"Everyone at the center for me, make sure that you can see yourself in the mirror please. Hannah move over to your left for me." I said walking to the door since someone had knocked. It was Beyonce. "Hello Principal Knowles what can I do for you?"  I asked moving to the side.
