I had just gotten out of the shower and I pressed my hair now I was just sitting on the edge of my bed thinking about everything that's been happening this past month. I was a mistress, a mistress who wanted to be with someone else's wife.

But I was a conflicted mistress because I don't know if I'm falling for someone else. I'm scared I can admit that. Beyonce was ready to give everything up for me. Do just about anything to win me over and I couldn't let it happen. Because I'm scared.

I'm scared of the fact that she'll be available. I'll have her all to myself and she'll be here all the time. It's not going to be like now where there's a chase or I have a choice when I see her versus when I don't. I was definitely afraid.

My phone rang knocking me out of my thoughts completely. It startled me. I was becoming accustomed to the silence when Ariana wasn't at home. Picking it up without looking I spoke. "Janet Jackson."

"We need a second date." It was Alex. We actually had spoken after that 'date' we had but it wasn't anything to call a conversation. We even hung out a few times. Went to lunch, I enjoyed my time with Alex most times. We've definitely gotten to know each other a little and she's good.

"Ms.King" I said getting up from my bed to actually get dressed into something.

"Alex." She said. "Alex." I repeated. "Hear me out, because I don't know if I liked our first one. I think I need a do over, you left early and there was no kissing at the end. So a second one is necessary." I tried to refrain from smiling but I couldn't help it.

I waited for a second to think about it. "And I could cheer you up." "What makes you think I need cheering up?" I asked. "Well, don't you?" "Look, Alex I don't.. date. I'm not dating right now." "Why not?" She asked.

"Who did it? You want me to beat them up for you?" She said and I chuckled. "Goodbye Alex." I said hanging up. I got dressed and grabbed my purse and keys. I had to go into work to meet my new assistant. Hopefully I like this person.

I strutted my way into the entrance of my work place and smiled as other waved to me. Once I stepped into my office I sat behind my desk. My assistant was supposed to be here at two thirty. It was two nineteen.

Deciding to check my emails to pass some time I pulled out my laptop from my desk drawer. A knock came to my door and I quickly yelled come in. There was this beautiful girl. She slid inside of my office smoothly.

Her smile was real bright. "Hello Ms.Jackson, my names Aaliyah. I was sent in to be your new assistant." I nodded and motioned for her to sit down. "Hello Aaliyah." When I spoke her face held a certain emotion. One I couldn't really describe.
