I studied him to see if he was any threat to me. He was probably one of the officers looking for me. Well tough shit because I was eating. He had beautiful green eyes and sandy blonde hair, light freckles covered his face. He was cute. Actually he was gorgeous.
He looked across the table at me expectantly. I raised a eyebrow at him.
" Who are you? I'm pretty sure we haven't met. " I state focusing back on my plate of food, shoving a fork full of hash browns in my mouth.
" I could ask the same thing. " He grabbed a plate and started putting food on to his plate like it was his. My mouth dropped open at his audacity.
" I asked first and if you plan on keeping both hands, I highly suggest you put my food down. " I glared at him and grabbed a knife. But he didn't, he popped a piece of bacon in his mouth.
As he reached for another piece I stabbed the knife close enough to his hand making the knife stick into the table.
" That is mahogany! " He took the knife out of my hand as he grabs MY cup of orange juice.
" You have less than 10 seconds to tell me who you are. Once I get 11 you're going to regret sitting here." I say glaring at him my hands balling into fist.
He looks me in the eye grinning causing my stomach to clench. He really was beautiful.
" I'm Sheriff Thomas. Last time I checked you were supposed to be sitting in my office. " Son of a bitch. He knows where Taylor is.
" You Son of a Bitch. Where the hell is Taylor!? So help me God if you hurt him." I refrained from grabbing a plate and hitting him with it. Not yet at least.
" Miss Ashlynn I assure you we haven't touched him. " He narrowed his eyes at me.
" Where. Is. He. " My breath became ragged. I can't lose him. Not like my brother. My heart tighten at the thought of him.
" I'll show you as soon as we get back to the - " I cut him off mid sentence.
" There's no we. " I stood up to leave but his voice made me stop.
" Sit down. You're not going anywhere Ashlynn. " His voice low and dangerous.
" Whose going to stop me?" My voice mirroring his.
" You really don't want to do this. " I raised a eyebrow challenging him. He cleared his throat.
" Everybody out. " His voice calm, everyone quickly got up to leave. Even the waitress was leaving. She gave me a sympathetic smile on her way out.
Well thanks for the help I think to myself sarcasticly. Oh well. I got this far on my own. Just as the last person leaved and the door closed shut. He rolled up his sleeves.
" You have two options. A. You come with me quietly and I'll take care of you and your friend. " He said the weird friend with a a sour expression.
" His name is Taylor. " A look of jealousy crossed his face but it left just a quickly.
" Whatever. Or B. We do this the hard way and I throw you over my shoulder and take you myself. " My eyes narrowed I turned to walk away towards the door.
" Hard way it is. " He muttered and reached out grabbing my arm. Tingles ran up my arms and at the spot he grabbed. I yanked my arm back. Putting a few feet between us.
" You take one more step towards me and I'll shove my fist down your throat. " I grabbed the closest thing to me - A spatula. I might not win but I can try.
He slowly walked up to me but before he could come closer I pressed the spatula against his throat. I so wanted to hurt him but something was holding me back.
" What's stopping you? " He said with a small smirk. A smirk that said he won. Hell no.
I glared at him and pressed the spatula harder against his throat. One more chance.
" Listen Sheriff. This is the last time I'm asking you. "
Before I could open my mouth the spatula flew out of my hand and slide across the floor and I was turned around with my hands behind my back.
There was no way in hell he was that fast. He stood behind me holding my arms tight, tingles spreading up my arm.
" What were you saying? " He said with clear satisfaction and smugness in his voice.
I had a smirk of my own. I stomped down on his foot as hard as I could. He quickly dropped to his feet in pain groaning loudly.
I looked at him and stuck my tongue out at him as I made a break for it.
