After a while of sitting in his office completely ignoring him, he stopped trying to talk to me. Good. I welcomed the silence, it gave me time to clear my head. And to plan my escape.

It couldn't be from here though. I was more than sure the place was crawling with cops now. The minute they found me every cop in the area probably came back.

For a split second my mind went to Taylor. I wonder where he was but just as fast as it came it left. I could feel myself growing angry by the second. I still couldn't believe that they would let him waltz right out. He was just as guilty as I was.

The door popped open and Jonathan walked in with a bag of greasy chinese food. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. He grinned at me holding the food up high.

" That wouldn't happen to be for me Jonathan? " I grinned back standing up excitedly in front of him reaching for the bag.

" Oh, hmm it could be. Might be for me. " He stuck his tongue out at me , holding the bag up higher and further out of my reach.

" If it did happen to be for me, you would be my bestest friend. " He laughed and tapped his chin contemplating. My stomach growled at the smell. Even though I had just ate literally hours ago I was more than ready to eat again. Most girls my age ate a salad and had water. That was unacceptable to me. Completely unacceptable!

" Well how could I possibly argue with that." Handing me the bag grinning he sat in the chair I previously occupied while I sat I one of the chairs at the table.

Isaiah didn't say a word, he just sat watching us with a glare. Our eyes met and I swear I could've jumped his bones right then. He smirked at me before talking with Jonathan. Not really caring to hear their conversation I turned my attention to my food.

Pulling out multiple white styrofoam containers, 2 paper wrappers, a few fortune cookies, and soy sauce. First I went through the containers I happily found beef fried rice, beef and broccoli, white rice, and chicken. Looking though the wrappers I found cinnamon apple sticks and egg roles.

I made a mental note to give Jonathan the biggest kiss possible. He deserved it. I started eating ignoring them both until I heard my name. I pretended to still be oblivious to their conversation.

" Ashlynn can stay over at my house. " I heard Isaiah say. Rolling my eyes I took a bite of my egg role. No way in hell would I stay in his house.

" I have some uh, town, business to take care of before the meeting. " He continuedstretching. papers rustling so I assumed he was leaving.

" Hands to yourself unless you want to lose them. " He told Jonathan. I heard Jonathan chuckle. I put the remaining food back into the bag, standing up stretching.

" Ashlynn , Jonathon's going to show you around a little and take you to my house. You will be will be staying there. I'll uh, see you tonight. " The way he said my name made me want to hear it again and again.

Where the hell are these thoughts coming from? I didn't trust myself to speak so I just nodded and looked away.

" Don't worry Ash, I'll take good care of you. " Jonathan said bumping my shoulder smiling.

Isaiah glared at him walking out.

" What's his problem? " I asked Jonathon folding my arms.

" He's very territorial. It gets worse. But he's a great guy once you get to know him. Just give him a chance. " With that we left the room and made our way to the front office.

As we neared the office I heard shouting and cussing coming from the front. Jon ( Jonathan ) sweared under his breath.

A old male that looked to be in his 50's had a tight grip on a younger girl in her teens. She looked scared and looked like she had been crying. I stood back and watched as Jon tried to calm him down.

" I've asked the Alpha multiple times to get rid of her! We don't need this kind of trash snooping around here! Stealing my food. Homeless fucks." His grip tightened around the girls arm. I was livid. How dare he treat someone like that!

I stormed up to him glaring. Standing up in front of him.

" Either you let her arm go or I kick your ass. " I told him very calmly. Jonathan tried to pull me behind him.

" Who the hell is this!? " He shouted at me and I heard Jonathan growl.

" I gave you fair warning. " Before he could answer I grabbed the closest thing to me, which was a stapler.

I picked it up and slammed it against his head. He fell over and I took the time to grab the girl and put her behind me.

" You little bitch! " He lunged at me as I side stepped him slamming the stapler into his head. Jonathan stepped in front of me.

" I really wouldn't do that if I were you. " He warned him quietly.

" Why the fuck not? " He snapped at him.

Out of now where Isaiah came and snatched him by the shirt.

" If you want to keep your life I highly suggest you fucking apologize. " He had him up against the wall. His eyes were almost black, his voice deep.

" Please forgive me, Miss? " It came out fake but I didn't want his apology. It meant absolutely nothing to me.

" I don't want your damn apology but you do need to apologize to her. " I stared directly into his eyes waiting.

" You heard her. " Isaiah's grip tightened around his throat.

" I'm very sorry Miss. " He glared at me. I smiled at him.

" If I ever see you around these 2 you're going to regret it. Do I make myself clear? " The man bowed his head.

" Yes, of course Sir. " Isaiah let the man go and he scrambled out of the building.

" You okay? " He checked over me looking to see if I was hurt. How cute. I blushed bright red.

" Yeah, uhm thanks.. For that. " Jonathan huffed behind me.

" Uh, Hello. I was here too. Yes I'm fine thank you very much. "

I laughed and shook my head. Isaiah asked the girl if she was okay. She was a little shooken up but fine. I gave her a small smile and she returned it.

" Write your number down. " I passed a piece of paper and a pen to Jonathan.

Just as the girl was leaving I ran up to her and handed her the paper.

" Call anytime you need something okay. I don't care when just call. My names Ashlynn by the way. "

" Thanks. I'm Aliyah. " She stood there awkwardly. I handed her my bag of Chinese food. I think she needed it more than I did.

She thanked me and left the building clutching the number. I really did hope she called me again.

" I'm not even gone for 10 minutes and you're already in trouble. What am I gonna do with you? " Isaiah looked at me frowning. This was not my fault at all, if anything it was his.

" Well maybe, just maybe, if you took better care of your people I wouldn't have to beat them with staplers. " Smoothing my clothes out and flipping my hair in his face.

" Jonathan I'll be outside." Leaving a speechless Jonathan and a glaring Isaiah in the building. Stepping outside I took a look around.

I guess this is my new home. For now.
