" You remember that time we watched scary movies and pigged out all night? " Noah asked with a grin.

" Yeah. You were scared to cut the lights off that night. " I giggled at the memory.

" I wasn't scared! I was cautious. " He replied weakly. He was totally scared.

Isaiah saved him from my ridicule. He slide into the booth beside me.

" Who was that? " I questioned curiously.

" Aliyah. She was just telling me about her treatment. " He admitted with a smile.

" Oh how is she? " I asked.

" Better. She said it's really helping her. And she should be home in time for your birthday. " Isaiah informed me happily.

Aliyah had gone into treatment two weeks ago. I missed her of course but I would rather she get help than to suffer anymore. She was better off there.

" Who's Aliyah? " Noah questioned.

" A friend of mine. You'll meet her later. " I assured him.

" I look forward to it. " He replied turning his attention to his food.

There was little left to say as we fell into a comfortable silence and ate.

" Get out of my suitcase Mariah. " I sighed for the umpteenth time in the last 3 hours.

" No! Everyone's leaving me! I feel so alone. " She cried dramatically flailing her arms wildly.

" I'm only leaving for 2 weeks, maybe 3. " I rolled my eyes at the drama queen. " Besides you have Jonathon to keep you company. And Quinn and Ben. You aren't alone. " I reminded her as I folded a pair of pajama pants.

" Oh yeah.. I guess you're right. " She stood up and dusted the imaginary dirt off her pants.

" That's it? I just had to endure 3 hours of your performance for that. " I laughed shaking my head.

" You loved every minute of it! " She tossed her red hair over her shoulder.

" Loved what? " Jonathon asked popping his head into my room.

" Deez nuts. " She replied with a sarcastic smirk.

" You're childish. " He scowled at her.

" I know you are but what an I? " She giggled sticking her tongue out at him.

I barely paid attention to their banter as I finished packing my bag. We were leaving early tomorrow morning and Isaiah informed me that I wasn't pushing the time back.

I tugged the handle of my bag and drug it off my bed to the floor. As I pulled the bag to the top of the steps, I realized there was no way I could get this thing down the steps.

I got to the third step from the top before I nearly tumbled down. At the rate this was going I would end up killing myself before anyone else got the chance.

I groaned in frustration as I thought about just throwing it down. I sat on the steps and blew a stray lock of hair out of my face. I really need to work out.

" Need some help there cutie? " Isaiah asked chuckling.

" I'm glad you think this is funny. " I glared at him but my eyes wandered down to his soft lips. " But yes, help would be wonderful. "
