As the waiter lead us to the table I was having a mini panic attack.

" I can't do this. " I said mostly to myself.

" Yes you can. I promise there's nothing to worry about cutie. " Isaiah gave me a comforting smile and squeezed my hand.

" Okay. " I nodded my head trying to convince myself of his words.

Of course we had a table on the upper level. It over looked the beautiful restaurant.

" Oh my goddess she's beautiful! " Was all I heard before I was smothered in a hug.

" Mom you're going to kill her. " I heard Isaiah groan.

" I'm so sorry. I'm just excited to have a daughter! " She gushed excitedly. She was a spitting image of the Thomas kids. Red hair like Mariahs and green eyes like Isaiahs. She didn't look a day over 25.

" Hey! I take offense to that! " Mariah yelled from the table.

" You know what I mean Mariah! " Her mother hushed her. The stern look she had given Mariah had her seating

" Nice to meet you Mrs. Thomas." I laughed at her excitement. She was nice. Not the evil mother I once thought. I think I've read to many books.

" No no no! You call me Rose or Rosalind. " She grinned at me looking exactly like Isaiah. " Oh what the hell call me mom! " She sniffed emotionally. Evan rolled his eyes sending me a wink. I giggled at his actions causing Isaiah to growl at him and hold me protectively.

" You're overwhelming the girl. " It could've been Isaiahs twin if not for the few spots if grey hair. " I guess that means you can call me dad. Or Ryan which ever floats your boat. " He laughed giving me a hug. He towered over me much like Isaiah. I could see where Evan got his brown hair and brown eyes.

"Sorry dad but she's only calling me daddy. " Isaiah grinned cockily.

" Isaiah! " I yelled at him, hitting his arm. I'm sure my face was bright red.

" That's my boy. " His father boomed with laughter clapping Isaiah on the back.

" Ryan! You're sleeping on the couch tonight. " Rose scolded him playfully. It was clear that they loved each other.

" Alright let's eat! " Evan said with a grin.

After everyone had ordered their food and waited for the waiter we broke off into different conversations.

" Told you she wasn't that bad. " Isaiah teased me sticking his tongue out at me. The sounds of conversation and laughter filled the room. But I only heard him.

" Do that again and I'll bite your tongue. " I laughed at his shocked expression. His mouth hung open.

" That's my line. I'm so proud of you. " He grinned at me winking.

The waiter came back with our food and left. I had the chicken parmesan with a side of shrimp pasta. Isaiah had chosen a less formal dish and got a cheeseburger and French fries.

As I sipped a little of my drink I let everybody else fill the silence. I was content with sitting back and watching. I wasn't used to being around a family that cared about each other so much.

From the way that Ryan held Rosalinds hand or the way Mariah mercilessly teased Evan it felt comfortable. I frowned thinking of my own families short comings.
