" She has quite a few injuries. None life threatening though. As you might've noticed she has a lot of bruising and swelling. I proscribed her some pain pills for that. Her ankle was severely sprained, but we managed to set it. She just needs to stay off her feet for a while. There was a lot vaginal tearing and a few fractured ribs. " She went through a check list of injuries. It was sickening.
" So is there anything we can do? " Isaiah asked the doctor. I could tell her felt as if it was his fault she was lying in the infirmary. I grabbed his hand and gave him an assuring squeeze.
" No, just make sure she takes her medication everyday. I'll have Talia give it to you. But just to be sure there's no internal bleeding, I want her to stay here for a few weeks. And it wouldn't hurt to get a therapist. After all the crap she's been through. " She gave us all a reassuring look.
" Alright I'll look into that. " He nodded his head pulling me into his side.
The door swinged open and a man dressed in his nursing scrubs. He nodded respectively at Jonathan and Isaiah.
" She wants to speak with Ashlynn. " Everyone looked at me puzzled. Hell I was too.
I went into the room. I was expecting a plain white room like most hospitals. Instead I was greeted with an almost painful yellow. The room was adorned with flowers.
Aliyah laid on her bed playing with a bright red rose. She looked up at me shyly.
" I just wanted to thank you Ashlynn. " Her voice barely above a whisper.
" For what? " I asked still confused. I hadn't done anything special. Just what every human being would do.
" For saving me. I didn't know how to get help. It sounds stupid I know. That day at the police station was the first time anyone had been nice to me. Other than Isaiah and Jonathan of course. " She had tears in her eyes as she spoke." No need to thank me Aliyah. " I smiled at here and held her hand.
" Not many people around here like me because of my father. I'm beneath them apparently. I would like to be friends. If that's okay with you I mean. I don't won't to be a bother. I've never really had any girl friends or any friends actually. " She blushed smiling back at me.
It was very hard to believe that anyone could be mean to her. From the short amount of time that I've known her, she's been the sweetest and humblest person I've everyone met. Not to mention she was beautiful too.
" Of course you can Aliyah. The house needs more girls anyway. " I laughed imagining us terrorizing the boys.
We sat in a comfortable silence for a while not speaking, just enjoying the temporary peace.
It wasn't until she yawned that I noticed how tired I was.
" I'm gonna get going. You need your beauty sleep. " I hugged her and left the room.
Jonathan and Isaiah were on a serious discussion when I came into the room. They stopped talking almost immediately.
" Ready to go? " Isaiah stood stretching. The hem of his shirt rode up revealing a V line and a few specks of hair leading down to his uh, area. I blushed shaking away the naughty images burned in my head.
" Yes. Carry me. " I yawned holding out my arms.
" Your wish is my command Princess. " He picked me up and carried me to the elevator. I didn't miss the look of do disgust Jonathan gave us both. I stuck my tongue out at him.
" You two are so cute it's disgusting. " He grumbled as we entered the elevator.
" Suck it up cupcake. " I grinned at him sleepily. He surpressed a smile, shaking his head.
