He started laughing hard. I tapped my foot waiting for him to finish.
" Your face was priceless Ashlynn. " He grinned at me shaking his head. I glared at him with my hands folded.
" I'm glad you find that funny Evan. Now if you don't have plan on helping me move out of my way. " He smiled.
" It's something about you Ashlynn. Something special. I like it. But yes I do plan on helping. "
" Thank God because I have literally no clue where I'm at. " I reply slightly defeated.
I have been walking in circles for the longest. It's a wonder I haven't ran in to anyone since I've sneaked in.
You would think that a building for police would have you know, Police. Speaking of police, I wonder where Jonathan was. I felt a twinge of guilt for lying to him. Then a second later it was gone.
" Where is everyone? " I asked him.
" They're off looking for you. Sheriffs orders. " Shocked I open my mouth and close it. Almost the whole police force out looking for me. I really didn't know I was that important. I mean sure I assaulted a officer but hey, who hasn't? He deserved it.
" Now where to Miss? " He asked doing a terrible british impersonation.
" To where ever Taylor is. I'm pretty that's the lock up place thingy. " I say laughing at his attempt.
He lead us through a few doors, making lots of twist and turns. Boy was I off by a long shot. After a few minutes of walking through various doors and stairwells, we reach a large metal door with bars.
He takes a set of keys out of his pockets whistling.
" He's down here. We caught him last night, but I have a feeling he didn't try to hard to get away." My Taylor give himself up? Pfffft right.
As Evan put the keys in the door I let silence cover us, content with my thoughts. No way. He would've done anything to get out of here. I frowned. At least I hope so.
The door slowly opened with a creaking noise. I peeked over Evan's shoulder to see a long stretch of hall. At the end was 2 guards blocking another door.
Fine. If Taylor was there than I was more than happy to be too. I followed behind Evan.
As we neared the end Evan spoke.
" Is my brother in there? " He said to one of the guards.
" Yes Sir. He's been talking with the boy." I swear he has a name. But I kept quiet. This time.
" Good. " He nodded and the door popped open.Walking in it looked much like a regular jail. Cells lined the walls and telephone was on the wall.
" Alright Miss he's in here somewhere. " He said to me.
Walking deeper into the room I heard voices. Then I heard a laugh. His voice. I quickly looked around for a weapon but saw none. My hands would have to do.
We walked and turned s corner. And what I say made my blood boil. Fist clenched I stomped over to a table with 3 men sitting there.
" You son of a bitch! I've been out looking for you all day and you're here? With him!! " I addressed Taylor first screaming at him.
I punched him square in his face, feeling a crunch under my fist. Good. Putting me through that.
" What the hell Ashlynn? " He groaned and held his nose.
" I'll show you hell you bastard! " I drew my arm back again for another blow but Evan grabbed my arm. I heard a growl coming from the sheriff. Snatching my arm from Evan I glare at him.
" And you. I will make you regret the day you were born if you ever touch my food again."
" Maybe if you wouldn't run from me I wouldn't have to! " He shot back at me. His eyes turned a dark shade of green looking from me to Evan. God he was sexy. Stop it! Taylor was sitting right here.
" Holy shit. Sorry. " Evan stepped away from me. The sheriffs eyes returned back to normal.
I rolled my eyes now addressing Jonathan.
" Sorry. You know for lying. " I grinned sheepishly.
" Yeah right. You owe me Ash." He grinned back.
