"Everyone may I have your attention please." we all sat at respective places. "We all have gathered here to see our best fashion designer of the Year receive her award. I would like to call upon state Mr James D'Silva to present the award." Uncle James went onto the stage and then the host invited me "I would like Mrs Katherina Shane D'Silva to come up on the stage and receive the award." I looked beside me Daniel; he gave me a brief nod and a hug. I climbed upon and receive the award from the Uncle James.
As I received the award they were loud cheers and claps. Then Uncle went down the host give me another mic and said "Mrs Katherina, you are the youngest designer to date to receive the award. How are you feeling? Will you share your experience?" he asked "Sure, first of all, I am feeling really great and honoured to receive this award. From the experience of the past two years, I learnt that God never tests a person more than he or she can bear. Two years back it was not in my wildest dreams to receive this award, two years back I lost my parents in a tragic accident after that our life has been through many ups and downs I can say it was like a dangerous roller coaster ride. With the support of god, my family and friends I overcame all the obstacles in my path. I will not say life is easy because it's unpredictable for a second you are living a dream and next it's a nightmare. I would like to say live every day of your life as it's the last day today. My parents always loved me and I am sure they are watching me from the heavens and are proud of me. My dad always wanted the best for me and would say 'Always give your best whatever you do'. My mom always wanted me to be successful and settled in life; she always said to me 'Don't be the girl who needs the prince to be a princess become the queen a king wants to be with'. I must say this quote of hers always inspired me and I think I gave my best to solve the problems that were put in front of me. So, I dedicate this award to my parents and my husband for always being there for my help and support like my mum said I think I am the Queen and I took the Throne which I worked hard to get thank you." everyone was clapping loudly as I came down the stage and Daniel hugged me. So this was the Throne I was destined to get that my father left for me.
"Should I ask you something, who knew I would become the queen to my father's throne and also I would get such a lovely king? " I asked Daniel while standing on the edge of the terrace. he was standing beside me holding my hand. he smiled towards me and replied, "I always knew you would make it here and regarding the king when the queen is so kind-hearted you ought to get such a handsome and lovely king." I giggled hugging him. " I LOVE YOU KATHERINA!!!!" he shouted hugging me back "I LOVE YOU TOO DANIEL" I replied.
