Sages Pov:

i like the rain, something about it is calming.
the rain makes me feel like sleeping forever and drinking a hot tea when i eventually wake up.
but i can't sleep, i need to study for a class i'm taking. i was just getting used to the free time, but at least i'm getting a break when i go to the u.s. with wilbur.

'4:20' the glowing clock reads. i sigh, i really need to sleep but alas i keep typing on my computer. i don't even know why i chose journalist as a profession but i like writing, (A/N: *winks*) always kinda have. since i was younger it's been my escape.

i just need to read a few more paragraphs until i have to write everything down simplified. tis the life of a journalist.

i play some music while i read cause why not? i wanna be aesthetic.

mac demarco is my first choice cause his music's chill and a fucking vibe.
'chamber of reflection' starts playing and i hum along whilst reading.

i finish the last paragraph and then it's time to type.

i tap the keys and i hear my door creak open.

"sage? you're up early." wilbur yawns and lays on the bed behind me.

"yeah, you know, just gotta study." i lie, knowing damn well i stayed up the whole night and am surviving off of two monsters and a cup on coffee.

"i'll leave so you can study, i'll wake up in like..." he thinks. "what time is it?"

"4:20."

"hehe. funny. but anyways i'll wake up in like 4 hours cause i need to work on a new album i'm working on. i want to play them at the tour." he walks over and kisses my forehead. "goodnight my love." he smiles.

"night, sleep well!" i smile back and he closes the door. then opens it again.

"pronouns?"

i smile at the courteousness. "they/he."

"nice, well good night." he closes the door again.

i laugh at his actions and get back to typing.

it's been 5 hours, wilbur's left a while ago, i finished all the assignments i've missed.

i lay on the bed, sleep deprived, and bored.

i get a ding from my phone.
