DOMINIC Later on that night, I decided to cool down and take a shower. I was so close to telling Anastasia that I love her. But I don't want to seem like I'm rushing things. I don't want to scare her away.
While in the shower, Anastasia came into the bathroom.
"Are you almost done, Dominic? I need to get in the shower too before I go to sleep."
"You should've gotten into the shower before you thought about locking me out of the room earlier."
"I don't feel like hearing your smart ass remarks. I just need to know are you almost done?"
"No, I'm not almost done. I just got in the shower. I won't be done until another fifteen minutes."
"Okay, great. All I needed to know."
Right when Anastasia went to walk out of the bathroom, I stopped her.
"Stasia?"
"Dominic, if it's something else smart, just keep it to yourself."
"It's nothing smart, Stasia. I wanted to ask you a valid question."
"Which is..?"
"Do you think there's like a certain time limit on falling in love?"
"Why do you ask? You already falling deeply in love with Chloe Bailey?"
"Oh, yes. We just started talking two days ago, I wanna get married to her and everything."
I said sarcastically, turning off the shower and wrapping my towel around my waist. Anastasia gave me the deadliest glare she could.
"Stop fucking with me, Fike."
"Well then be deadass, because I'm being deadass. Now what do you think?"
"I honestly think it depends on the person. But no, I don't think there's a certain time span on falling in love. It just happens whenever. Are you happy with your answer?"
"Uh. Yeah.. thanks, Stasia."
"You're welcome, Dominic. Now please get out so I can shower."
"Stasia?"
"Yes, Dominic?"
"Nothing. Just.. have a good shower."
I quickly walked out of the bathroom, shutting the door behind me. I just wish it wasn't so hard to express myself, especially when it comes to Anastasia.
After getting dressed, I hopped into the bed that was in the room I picked out. I decided to call my brother Alex for some advice on what to do.
"How do you keep things so well with Lily, bro? I find it almost impossible to keep things right with Stasia."
"Definitely don't do the shit you guys are doing to each other now. That's just going to damage the relationship even more. I just think that you two need to sit down and apologize to each other. That's the only thing that's going to make things right with you two. You're in Puerto Rico, have the time of your life with each other."
"I'm just scared, man. I'm in love with Anastasia. I keep trying to block out the feeling, but I can't. I'm just scared that if I tell her too soon, she's going to distance herself away from me."
"Tell her before it's too late. Her ex is kinda already back in the picture. So you need to make your move."
"You're right, little bro. Thanks for the advice. I'll talk to you soon."
"You love me?"
I jumped as I heard Anastasia's voice at the door after I hung up the FaceTime call.
Shit... she heard it all..
"Fuck.. how much of that did you hear?"
"Enough of it. You're in love with me?"
"Yes. Anastasia Marie Smith, I'm in love with you. You're the only one I ever want to be with. I don't want to be with anyone else. It feels like I've been waiting forever, and I don't wanna wait any longer. I'm tired of waiting. I don't want to just vibe with you. I want to be with you. I —"
Cutting me off, Anastasia ran over to me and hopped on top of me, pulling me into a deep and passionate kiss. Surprised at her reaction, I kissed her back and held onto her as tightly as I could.
"I'm starting to love you too, Dom.. as much as it scares me, I'm starting to..."
"So, what's the hold up? Will you officially be my official girlfriend? Without worrying about none of this publicity stuff anymore?"
"Yes.. I'll officially be your girlfriend, Dominic."
Anastasia smiled her brightest, resting her head on my chest as I was still laying down in the bed. Sooner than I knew it, we both had fallen asleep together.
