DOMINIC "No way! Anastasia really has a kid?!"
My brother Alex questioned me in shock. Three days later, and we came back from Puerto Rico. He couldn't believe it when I told him that Anastasia basically has a secret kid.
Apart of me was happy for her that she has a little person to look forward to. But the other part of me wasn't sure how to feel. She has a whole six year old, and this entire time she kept him hidden.
And not only that, I've never dated a single mother before..
"Yeah, pretty much. She's seeing him today for the first time since he was a month old."
"How does that make you feel? You're basically going to be a step father."
"I don't even wanna think about that right now. I just wanna get out of this car so I can rest."
I answered Alex as I got out of the car after he had pulled into our driveway. As I was getting my luggage out of Alex's trunk, that's when Lily came outside to greet us.
"Hey! Welcome home, Dom! How was Puerto Rico?"
"Puerto Rico was definitely... something."
"Long story short, he figured out that Anastasia has a six year old son who she's kept hidden all this time. Now, he's going to eventually be a step father."
Alex answered Lily's question as he walked into the house. Lily's eyes widened as she focused on me.
"What?! How do you feel about that?"
"I rather not speak on that at the moment. I just wanna take these next two days to rest before I have to drag myself to rehearsals. This world tour with Anastasia starts next week."
"You're still going to take a chance with her even though she has a six year old kid? What about her baby's father?"
"Anastasia gave birth to her son way before I was even around. And about her baby's father? I don't think I have to worry about him."
I sure hope I don't have to worry about him. - - - - I took about a two hour nap once I got into the house. When I woke up, I looked at my phone to see no new notifications from Anastasia, which in a way, I was shocked. She always usually texts me no matter the situation.
But then again, this IS her first time seeing her son since he was only one month old.
I yawned and then got out of my bed, making my way downstairs to see Lily and Alex having dinner with my mom and younger sister Apple.
"There you are, sleepy head! I was beginning to think you were knocked out for the night."
My mom chuckled and stood up from the table, giving me a huge hug. Apple followed my mom and hugged me tightly around my leg.
"Dom! I missed you!"
"I missed you guys more. I've been so busy with everything, and now I only have two days off until I have to get back to it."
"We understand, honey. Just know we're going to try our best to make it every single show that we can on your tour."
My mom smiled brightly, kissing me on my forehead and sitting back in her seat at the kitchen table. I looked down at Apple while I played with her hair.
"How you been, kiddo? Have you been doing good in school and such?"
"I'm not in school right now, Dominic. I'm on summer break, silly!"
"I know that. I'm just asking for when you were in school. Duhhh."
"Dude, hurry up and make your plate so you can eat. The food is getting cold."
Alex said, interrupting the interaction I was having with our younger sister. I playfully rolled my eyes and was about to go make a plate of food until there was a ring at the doorbell.
"I'll get it before I go get my plate of food."
I then made my way to the front door, opening it up to seeing once again, Alexis. I sighed and looked at her seriously.
"Really, Alexis? Why can't I ever get away from you? It's like I see you more now that we're broken up than when we were together."
"I'm just here to give you the last of your stuff back that you left at my house. I'm done with begging you to take me back. Talking to you is like talking to a wall. You're already probably stressed enough due to your girlfriend having a whole kid."
"H - how did you know that?"
I questioned Alexis as she caught me off guard with the kid comment. Alexis smirked with a shrug.
"It's the new headlining story about miss Anastasia Smith in the blogs right now. I don't know who leaked the story about her having a secret kid, but it's sure out now. Have fun being a step father, Dominic. Take the rest of your shit, I have to go."
Alexis handed me the box of my things before turning around to go back to her car. I took the box and went back into the house, shutting the door and pulling out my phone in a panic.
"What's wrong, sweetie? You seem like you're worried about something."
"Some news came out about Anastasia that wasn't supposed to come out yet. And I'm not sure if she knows that it's out."
"What happened? What news story?"
"Your son is going to be a step father towards Anastasia's secret six year old son!"
Lily came out and exclaimed. My mom's eyes widened and she looked over at me.
"Six year old son?! Are you ready to get involved with a girl who has a kid? I mean, your career is going well so far. What if you become distracted by everything?"
"I'll be fine, mom. I promise. Now if you guys will excuse me, I'm finally gonna make me a plate of food."
