♡ ╰◟◞ ͜ ◟◞╯ . ☆This episode was more than just a filler... It's a great bonding episode between Tsubasa and Ageha, with Elle being the ribbon that knots our 2nd duo together. With the episode solely focusing on the Wing and Butterfly duo, this review will focus on both Tsubasa and Ageha's synergy as a duo. They sure have developed their dynamic pretty well, so let's get right into it!
For being the most comedic duo to ever exist, they sure are having the most wholesome moments in their dynamic too. With Ageha officially taking residence in Yoyo's house, she takes the role of being the energetic and annoying big sister, while Tsubasa is being the laid back and irritated little brother... They took their dynamic seriously in an understandable way. They showed more of Ageha's personality as the eldest and the adult of the group. She's a responsible person and is actually considerate of what others say about her. Not only that, but this just made me love and appreciate Tsubasa's character even more. He has already shown his development towards his dynamic with Ageha. Way back in Episode 11, he just couldn't deal with Ageha and her antics, and I have to admit... It's hard to deal with people that are being pushy towards others... But ever since Sora and Mashiro addressed that Ageha has a different way of thinking and that she and him are alike, Tsubasa starts to see Ageha in a different light.
In the background, the show continued to develop Tsubasa's relationship with Ageha in a subtle way. This episode is vital proof of how much Tsubasa has developed in understanding Ageha. Despite getting annoyed by her from time to time, he starts to understand and acknowledge Ageha as a member of the team and also his partner in battle. He shows the "concerned little brother" aspect of his personality towards an "overworking big sister" like Ageha. Despite the clash of personalities as "siblings", they're able to see different perspectives of each other. We see Ageha acknowledging Tsubasa's concern for her and how he sees his parents through her, and Tsubasa seeing Ageha's care for the group and acknowledging that she's the most caring and protective person of the group. This allows them to see their similarity on how they want to protect what's important for them, and allows them to let their differences work out very well. I'm living for the sibling-like dynamic of Tsubasa and Ageha, so I hope they grow more as a duo in the future.
That aside, I love how Elle is playing a part in developing both Tsubasa and Ageha's dynamic. It's actually valid proof that she had a great time being with both of them. She's already attached to the group, but with Tsubasa and Ageha left at home with our main duo out at school... You can tell that she had a great time being under the care of our secondary duo. I can even say that she's more involved with the development between both of them, as she played such a significant role by just being with them. Can't wait to see Elle handling the role of mediator towards the group as their number 1 moral support.
Moving on to the other characters, Sora and Mashiro did get the short end of the episode spotlight. Despite that, Sora showed her moments like the queen she is. Example of that is her note taking about what excitement is. Mashiro also suffers from lack of spotlight, pretty much... But regardless, she'll be in the spotlight again and be able to show growth in the future episodes... Also, Battamonda has been living up to be the best irritable villain to deal with! He's taking the action and is pretty smart to take advantage of the fighting the cures separately. I theorized before that because there's two duos, there will be times where they won't fight together as a team, depending on the circumstances. This evidently proved that Cure Wing and Butterfly can fight without Cure Sky and Prism being with them. I want to see more fights of the team not being together, as it evidently proves that they don't always need to be together when in battle. They have to deal with it in their own way, until they eventually arrive at the scene... Similar to what Kiramager did to their cast when fighting! Not just that, Battamonda also taunts Ageha and challenges her moralities even more. This makes Ageha the foil to his sarcastic attitude!
Oh well, the animation here is decent, and also great. I especially love the battle scene, as Cure Butterfly did well in utilizing her shields and turning them into boomerangs... And Cure Wing is just so cool when he flies and attacks! He just did so well to be a great fighter, with Butterfly being such a badass buffer and tank. It has the action, and I'm living for every single second of it. My love for the battle scene aside, the pacing of this episode is pretty great and gives me too much sibling vibes! Need more of those vibes between Tsubasa and Ageha! I now hope that the next episode will be somewhat good with its pacing... Seeing the preview for the next episode shows us that the animation will be a bit awkward and sort of give stiff moments... I'm also bracing for impact, as it's a focus episode for Mashiro and it's an important step to her development... This is nerve wrecking, yet again! Still, I can't wait for more episodes to come in Hirogaru Sky Prettycure. This series is doing well with its cast's dynamic, so I hope that it'll keep up the group synergy on the episodes to come in the future.
