This episode was really great in making Mashiro become the new heroine and the soon to be partner of Sora in battle! Mashiro shows more about her views of herself, as she sees herself to not be good enough for others. This has been a thing going on with other past cures in the franchise, but I believe Mashiro did a good job of utilizing that thing in her character. The conflict on how Mashiro believes that she isn't good enough due to not having a dream, that is pretty nice. It shows how much she viewed herself very low, and that she's pretty humble. I also love how before she takes the Mirage Pen, her morals have been challenged. However, instead of being challenged by her own self, the new character that's now part of knowing the whole Prettycure conundrum is the one who guides her on what being gentle and kind is. The fact that their story of how Mashiro tries to not cry towards her back then is really touching. It shows how tough a person needs to be, when trying to be kind and gentle to others. This is enough proof that she cares about others feelings and that she genuinely wanted to help her new friend, Sora. I just hope that this series would not forget Mashiro's characterization, as I believe that she would possibly get the "Sango treatment". Yeah... Poor Cure Coral, because I actually liked her characterization in her debut episode...

Of course, we can't talk about Mashiro without mentioning Sora! She continues to slay and be such a queen. She continues to show her balance between logical and dumb as a character. After all, her dumb moment cost her in not being able to transform into her cure form. Then, she continues in being such a badass, through doing a big fly jump in her civilian form and taking her Mirage Pen back. We also see an extra layer of her character, through her apology and also thinking that she isn't good enough. Since Mashiro experienced the same feeling of not being good enough, she tells Sora what the new character told her and passes it on to her... Okay, you two will really need to work hard in becoming the most fleshed out duo, to the point where you both can be shipped so hard. I kin Sora X Mashiro here in this house.

Also, now we have a new character introduced! That person is none other than Mashiro's childhood friend, Ageha Hijiri. I believe that the viewers are getting sussed out by her, and we won't focus on that. Instead, we should focus on how awesome she is in taking everything with the information regarding Sora, Elle, and the magical plot in general. Seriously, she's great and has such a mood. She has a really vibrant energy, which reflects on her being the cheerful big sister. Speaking of which, she's basically a young adult... Hmm... Also, her moments with Mashiro in talking about how being gentle and kind is really powerful, it was well done. I also agree with that, because how would a child Mashiro back then even endure the pain of parting ways and just assure the other that it'll be alright? Well, that actually hit hard for me. Anyways, I hope that she will be able to help in the plot or character driven episodes in the future.

Also, Kabaton is finally there taking action! In this episode, he shows how cruel he is, and I'm living for it. He's so smart in overthrowing Sora and being able to take the Mirage Pen. I mean, never in the whole franchise did I see a villain steal the transformation device THIS early. He even tried to make Mashiro doubt herself in not being good enough, as I think it makes an impact on Mashiro's morality and see how much Ageha learned from Mashiro that being gentle and kind is strong. Props to Kabaton, for not being super dumb! He's a decently smart villain, and I'm living up for it!

Oh well, the animation here is decent, and it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. It actually has some good scenes here and there, and I love it. The pacing of this episode is great, and I hope that next episode will continue to be great with its pacing... I can't wait for more great episodes to come in Hirogaru Sky Prettycure. I will always hope that it'll maintain its great storytelling into the future episodes.
