"So.. Where are we going?" Axel asked as we wandered the dimly lit streets. I pursed my lips and didn't reply because I didn't have an answer.
"I actually have no clue." Axel groaned.
"Then what the hell are we doing? Where are we going? Are we going to sleep in some park like homeless people?"
"Homeless people aren't a joke." Hazel said firmly, narrowing her eyes at him. Axel shifted his backpack around uncomfortably.
"We won't sleep on the streets, we could head to my place. Or rather, my moms." Percy said with a shrug.
"I don't want to impose on your parents. Besides, that's the first place everyone would probably check." Percy shrugged.
"You wouldn't be imposing but you're right about everyone going there first to look for us." He paused. "We could still go anyways. You know, sleep in a warm comfortable place before heading into all this madness of quests and prophecies."
"We're already in on it and I want to follow Nico as closely as possible."
"You don't even know where he went." Axel reminded me. I glared at him.
"I'm in charge of this unofficial quest okay? Don't question me." Axel narrowed his eyes and said nothing. Percy touched my shoulder.
"Come on, let's go to my house."
--
Percy's mom and his step-dad were more than happy to let us stay in their apartment. In fact, they weren't even too surprised to see us. "Come in, come in." Sally said, ushering us forward.
"Oh it's the kids." Paul said with a yawn. His hair was disheveled and they were both wearing pajamas.
"I'm sorry to wake you." I apologized.
"Don't worry about it Violet. Hazel, nice to see you again and.." She paused on Axel. "I don't believe we've met before."
"No ma'am." At least he had manners. "My names Axel." He actually shook her hand.
"Going on a quest?" She asked, looking around at us as we set our backpacks down.
"Yeah an.. Unofficial one." She arched an eyebrow at me as I said this.
"Unofficial?" She repeated.
"As in, we didn't get permission to go."
"Percy!" Sally exclaimed. "Last time you ran off you caused a lot of trouble. You could have gotten kicked out of camp." She scolded him. Hazel tried not to laugh next to me. Axel was snickering.
"Mom I don't think they can kick us out after we've saved the world several times over." Sally narrowed her eyes a little.
"Don't get cocky Perseus." Percy blushed.
"We had to. Were they going to let me go after him? You guys had a meeting on that right?" Percy nodded.
"You weren't supposed to go on this quest. I mean, he is your boyfriend Violet but if you led the group, Chiron thought you might make rash decisions to save him and not think about anyone else. You'd risk your own safety to save him."
"Damn right I would." Percy grinned a little.
"What's happened to Nico?" Wally questioned. Percy glanced over at me pursing his lips. When I didn't reply Hazel said,
"It was a prophecy." Paul and Sally sat us down around the living room and we told them everything. Staring off with how we met Axel, the sword fight I had with him, my dream and then what happened last night with the prophecy.
