Did I Win?

The pounding in my head is what wakes me up. It felt like a thundering herd of centaurs were running around in my skull. I groaned and opened my eyes slowly, adjusting to the light. I was staring up at wooden beams and low hanging lights, which were currently off since light was streaming through the windows. Windows. So many windows. Where was I? I groaned again, remembering.

The fight. Axel. Poisoned sword.

I clearly wasn't dead so that was a good thing but how much time had passed? What had happened after the match? Where was my brother? Axel? What was happening to him? What was the punishment for poisoning? He hadn't even done it. I saw the look on his face. He seemed just as surprised as I was.

I slowly, propped myself up on the bed and looked around. I was startled to find Nico slumped in a chair next to me. He had dark circles under his eyes, well darker than usual, which meant he hadn't slept for as long as I probably have been asleep. There was only four other people in the room. Two of them looked asleep in their beds, the third was attending to a guy with a broken arm.

I vaguely recognized the blond haired guy. He was an Apollo kid. Percy and him were friends I think. I groaned again, touching my temple, that's what made him turn to look at me. Will. That's right. His name was Will. Now I recognized him. He said something to the guy and immediately came towards me.

"Hey, our comatose girl is finally awake." He said playfully, smiling.

"Yeah, I am and I have an important question." I said slowly.

"Shoot."

"Did I win? The match? Did I win?" He grinned and I laughed a little, still holding my head in my hands.

"Your head hurt?" I nodded. "I'll get you some nectar." He left for only about a minute but the headache seemed to get worse when he left. He handed me a glass with ice cubes and a straw in it when he came back. I smiled gratefully and drank the entire thing. It tasted like chocolate cake. My headache went away instantly.

"Oh gods that's much better." I said handing him the glass. He smiled and turned the chair around by the other bed so he could sit next to me.

"I'm glad, you've been out for nearly three days now. We.. We kinda thought you were going to die." Will glanced at Nico behind me. "He kept freaking out because he could see your spirit hovering between life and death." I glanced back at Nico and bit my bottom lip. He was probably terrified and if Percy was present when Nico could see this, it would have been worse.

"None of them cried right? That would be weird." I said scratching my head. Will grinned.

"I think Percy got a little teary eyed but if anyone cried, they didn't do it here." I sighed and nodded my head, glancing back at Nico.

"How long as he been here? Is this the first time he's fallen asleep?" Will nodded.

"Yeah, he refused to leave your side until you woke up. He also said he didn't want your spirit to drift away. He's been trying to keep you grounded here. I don't know if it worked or not, maybe. He's exhausted." I had a vague flash of a memory where Nico was yelling at me to stay with him but it disappeared as quickly as I remembered it.

"Is the poison out of my system?" Will nodded his head.

"Most of it. You woke up so that's a good sign. You may be a bit stiff and sore though." I nodded my head slowly before getting to the real question I had.

"What happened after the match?" Will sighed and shook his head slowly.

"Nico nearly killed Axel. The ground split open between you and him and Axel nearly fell straight to Hell. These skeleton warriors appeared and pinned him down though but Annabeth got him to call them off before they killed him. Chiron rushed in and got you to the big house and I was sent to take care of you." I nodded my head slowly.
