24: Naomi: Sick

Naomi

Sneeze. Sneeze. Sneeze.

"Damn it you have a fever," Jay said touching her forehead. "Good thing we are leaving today."

"My head hurts," Naomi told him. For two days they have been stuck in the cabin. Finally, the snowstorm is over, and they can go home.

Naomi hopes her brother won't prohibit her to see Jay. It would make her sad. She's been having fun. She's getting used to Jay.

"Come on we better get going," nodding she follow him out to the car. She made sure Cherry and Snow wherein the back seat. Snow is the bunny she found.

Naomi got into the passenger sue and buckled up. She coughs and sneezed. Jay placed a blanket over her. Smiling she wrapped it around herself. Naomi felt feverish and weak. She shouldn't have gone out in the cold.

"Sleep, I'll wake you when we get home," Jay told her.

She tempted to sleep. But the hotness of her body made her move around her seat to much. She got rid of the blanket. But then she felt hotter. It's like it went through her clothes.

"Hey don't do that," she notices they had stopped. Jay reached out and buttoned up her shirt. "I know you feel extremely hot, but you can't take your shirt off."

"I feel hot I can't take it," she said pushing him away. She again retreated to remove her shirt. But he stopped her.

"Stop!" Jay yelled at her. She tensed. "Yelling is the only way to make you stop. I do not want to yell at you anymore." Naomi coughed looking at him. She stayed still leaning back. "Will stop by a store to buy medicine for you."

They drove for a bit longer. Naomi wanted to take her clothes off. Even with the cold air on, it wasn't helping her. She wanted it to stop.

"I'll be back," he said.

She stayed in the car. Coughing, she opened the door letting some air in though now she felt sleepy. Trying to stay awake, she went to close the door. Someone grabbed her arm.

"Finally!" She felt someone leaned over her and removed her seat belt. Then she was hauled out. "Let see how much Jay worries about you."

Naomi opened her eyes. Snapping out from her sleep, she saw Tessa and some other guys she doesn't know. The where tempting to drag her into a van. Naomi body trembles, then she began to breathe slowly.

"Tessa, what the hell did you do?!" One of the guys yelled. "She's having a seizure?"

"No, shit I'm out!" The other guy ran.

Naomi screamed.

"Shut up!" Tessa slapped her. Naomi only screamed more. "You little brat!" They dragged her toward the van. They tried to push her inside. Naomi only fought back. She wanted Jay.

"Jay!" She screamed his name. Only to be hit again.

Naomi hit Tessa and ran. Naomi ran toward a couple of people who were near the store. Once she reached them, she clings to a woman.

"Oh dear god," the woman gasped ."Are you alright dear. Oh, your running a fever."

"They want to hurt me, they want to kidnap me," Naomi kept on rattling on. "Don't let them take me."

"Oh hey you found our friend," Tessa smiled. "She's feverish, so will just take her home."

"No!" Naomi clings tighter to the woman arm. Tessa grabbed her arm. "No! No!"

"Sorry but we don't know you, for all we know, your the kidnappers," the woman said.

"Naomi?!" Once she heard her name, she ran toward him. "What's wrong? What are you doing out here?"

"Jay, Tessa hurting me!" Naomi sobbed. Jay tensed.

"It alright my love," Jay held her. "She won't hurt you."

After Jay spoked to the people, they went back to the car. He gave her the medicine. Naomi was terrified. Tessa tried to kidnap her. Who knows when she'll try again? But as long as Jay with her, she won't have to be afraid.

"It will be alright Naomi," Jay said. "You'll be fine. I won't let Tessa hurt you."

A phone rang. Naomi didn't bother to answer it. Whoever phone it was.

"Yes we on our way," Jay said. "Well, Naomi sick." Jay paused for almost two minutes. Naomi wanted to know what was happening. "Don't yell at me, Lin. And also Tessa tried to kidnap her. I think she's been following us around. Hey, hey, let me finish. Thank you. Naomi fought back, went to a group of people and they kept her safe. I stopped to get some medicine. Anyways she's fine. Will be there in a few hours. Now I'm hanging up because I need to drive. Okay bye."

"Who was it?" Naomi asked him.

"My cousin, then your brother cursed me," he said. "I swear I heard the bed squeak. I think they were doing it, yuck" Naomi giggled. "I see the medicine working."

"Yes," Naomi yawned. "I don't feel so, hot anymore."

"That's good," Naomi looked at Jay. He looked exhausted. If she could drive, she would've had taken over so he could sleep. But Jared never though her how to. Maybe, she'll ask him once their home.

Naomi can imagine how furious her brother will be. She doesn't want her brother to be mad at her. His the only family she got left. Without him, she'll be alone. Pulling the blanket closer, she shook the idea of her being alone. It wasn't pretty. She wouldn't be able to handle it.

Sighing her thoughts went back to Tessa. Naomi will have to know how to defend herself. She doesn't want to be afraid all the time. Trying to think about it, she closed her eyes. A good sleep will do her good.

It seems she was asleep for a long time because she felt like she was moving. Then she heard voices. She kept her eyes close.

"Next time you take her without my permission, I'll call the cops on your ass!" Jared yelled. Oh her brother was so, furious.

"She wanted to come with me!" Jay yelled back. "But if she had told you, you wouldn't have let her go!"

"You probably threaten her!" Naomi felt a soft surface. Her bed. "It's why she's with you. You threaten with hitting her! And you force her to have sex with you. Even if she said she wanted it, I don't believe it!"

"Oh dear god will you two stop it," Naomi heard Lin. "I can hear your yelling from outside. Now out both of you. Go now. Jay!" Naomi felt a light kiss on her cheek.

"What just giving her a kiss," Jay said. "Did you get her stuff out from the car?"

"Yes their downstairs," Lin sighed. "You're going to fill her room with stuffed animals."

"Good," he smirked. "Alright, I'm going." With that, she was left alone. At least she thought she was alone.

"Hey," once she had opened her eyes. She saw her brother. "How are you feeling?" He touched her forehead.

"A bit better," she said.

"Good," he didn't sound angry anymore. "Naomi, why didn't you tell me, you were going with Jay?"

"Because you would've had said no," Naomi told him.

"Well," Jared sighed. "I guess your right. But maybe I would've had said yes."

"I'm sorry," Naomi looked down. "I won't do it again."

"Its fine," he held her. "I can't keep you huddle up in the house all the time. I guess you can go to places. But you have to tell me first, alright."

"Yes," Naomi was happy her brother wasn't mad at her.

"But why Jay?" He asked her. "He made your life miserable. Why are you with him?"

"I don't know," Naomi frowned. "Maybe I want to give him a second chance."

"Naomi I do not wish to see you hurt," Jared told her. "If he hurts you I won't be responsible for my actions."

"I won't let him hurt me ever again," Naomi said.

Well, at least she hopes Jay won't hurt her again.
