Jay
Jay didn't lie. He didn't pull out on time the second time they did it. But he likes how scared she was. She thinks, she could disobey him. No, he will teach her to obey him.
He laid in bed. It was the day after he went back to her house. That boy, Kay. Jay will teach him to not get in his way. He sat up as his door opened. Lin came in holding a puppy.
"Oh no no, get it out," Jay said.
"It's not mine, it's yours to give to Naomi, as an apology, your mama said so," Lin handed him the puppy. It was a golden retriever. And it was female, and it had a red bow. "Give it to her, today."
"She's on school," Jay said.
"After school then, well I have to go," Lin said.
"Whoa hey, where are you going all nice looking?" Jay asked holding the puppy.
"I have a date, kinda," she smiled.
"With who?" He asked her.
"Jared, ah shut it not a word," Jay sat down. "At least his nice to females. Ain't like some people in this room."
"Whatever," he said.
"Well bye," she left after giving him money to buy dog food and other stuff. And a gift card to give to Naomi.
So now Jay was waiting for her to get out of school after he went to the store. He had the puppy in his arm. It wanted to get down. But he didn't let her down. Then the bell rang. Student storm out. She came out, with Kay. Once they spotted me, she tensed up. He waved at them. Kay was hauling her to another direction.
"Okay you puppy, go get her for me," he set the puppy down. It wasn't even on the ground yet, and she took off running toward Naomi. She found her, and bark at her, getting her attention. Naomi bent down and picked her up. Naomi smiled and looked at him. Jay waved her over. She turned around to talk to Kay. Kay seemed pisses but nodded and left getting into a van with various other teens. Naomi walked over to him.
"It's yours?" She asked.
"Nope, yours," Jay said. "Bought it for you, to say I'm sorry." Naomi tilts her head.
"Thanks," she smiled.
"Come, get in," Naomi obeyed and got in buckling in. The puppy squirms around in her lap.
Jay got in and started the engine. He didn't drive her home. He took her to the park. A public place so that she won't feel threatened.
"Come on," she nodded leaving her backpack in the car. They walked toward the field. Sitting down on the grass, he placed a blanket so the ants won't climbed. Naomi set the puppy down. She just ran around and rolled around. "What are you going to name her?"
"Cherry," Naomi smiled. The puppy immediately looked up at the mention of her new name. She climbed on Naomi lap.
"Look about yesterday; I wasn't playing about the shower thing, it slipped," Jay told her. She looked down. "Just know their options, abortion, adoption." Naomi shook her head. "What?"
"Abortion," she shook her head. "Nor adoption. I wouldn't be able to."
"Alright, then you'll keep it," Naomi looked down. "I'll pay child support, that's if you are." She nodded. "By the way tell your little friend not to interfere, because next time he'll go home with broken bones."
"Okay, he won't," Naomi said.
"Good," Jay pulled her onto his lap. The puppy bit on his shoe. So now she's going to defend her. Naomi leaned back. He just held her. She smells good, strawberries.
Jay swipe hair away from her neck. He planted kisses. She turned to him which he took advantage off and kissed her. She didn't respond at first, but then she did. They kissed, then he turned her around. She was now straddling him. If anyone saw, word will get to her brother. It doesn't matter now. He held her hips, as she grinds on him. Well, he was moving her hips. The puppy decided to jump up and licked his cheek. They parted.
"Gross," Jay wiped his cheek, Naomi giggled. She dug into her pocket and took a tissue. She used it to clean his cheek.
Jay had concluded, he loves her. He always has. The first time in middle school, when Jay barely moved. She was in 6th grade, and he was in 7th. When he saw her, he felt for her. He never admitted to it. He always hung out with friends they said to not fall in love. That love is stupid. And those kids were kids that didn't have respect in their homes. But Jay did have love. His parents spend each birthday with him, never missed one. Or if he were sick, they would drop everything and tend to him.
So he didn't know how to approach Naomi without the others not seeing what he wanted. And so that's when the bullying began. Jay didn't mean to do it; it was his way of showing her he liked her. But he guesses it didn't work. It just pushed her away, and make her afraid of him. And so he kept on doing it, at the end he broke her even after her parents passed away. He did feel sorry; she didn't go to school for two months. After she did, he would push her around.
Now that he thinks back he knew, all this time, he was trying to show her love. But he didn't know how to express it. Those friends filled his head with bad images of what love could do. Love isn't bad. It's a beautiful thing; he sees it every time he goes to his parents.
"Jay?" He looked at Naomi. She used her sleeve to wipe his cheeks. "Why you crying?"
"What?" He touched his cheeks. He was crying. He hadn't cried since the day his grandmother passed away. He wrapped his arms around her. "I'm sorry, so sorry." And he meant it. He can't show love to her. But he can try, and he will try.
"Oh," Naomi held him.
Jay cried. He needs help. Somehow he needs to learn how to show his affection to her. It's a long way to go and hopes Naomi will be there with him.
"Naomi, don't leave me," Jay said.
