AT CAMP JUPITER
"WE ARE ON THE HUNT! FOR GRAECUS SCUM! WE GONNA GET EM! THEY GON BE DONE!" Random romans, conducted by Octavian the weasel, sang like they were a huge; deadly; mass of a choir. Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano surveyed the jeering crowd. Octavian was going to become her Praetor partner. She internally groaned. He would be a nightmare. Plus, Octavian killed stuffed animals for fun. To 'read' prophecies. Reyna knew that he was just a skinny, nosy, psycho.
A loud scream erupted from the entrance. Reyna watched as Hazel Levesque and Frank Zhang ran away screaming. Reyna knew why. A crazed man in a red lamborghini was riding into camp. He jumped out and Reyna froze. Aphrodite had warned her of him. He was gangly, with baggy clothing and a nervous twitchy demeanor about him. A shiver crawled down her back. "Reyna," Octavian said; jogging up to her; "That boy... he's carrying someone. I saw it in the stuffing." Reyna wanted to scream that 'No you freaking psycho you cannot foresee the future' when she saw who was in his arms. A girl, of about 16, with black hair and sea green streaks in it. She was tan, and wearing a ratty old deep red shirt. She had a few more streaks of hair in that same color. She had curtain bangs. Reyna grabbed her and carried her into the medicinal hall.
"Take care of her..." The girl's eyes blinked open. They were a stunning sea green. Like Percy's... The man from earlier walked in.
"That is Devalin Regan, or Devin. She is a daughter of Poseidon. She needs your help." Devin grimaced. She had a few long, dark cuts across her body and was bleeding profusely. Reyna saw her eyes glisten with unshed tears. Reyna could see how she fought back against the memories.
"Everyone at Camp Half-Blood has been taken. Me and my friends were- on a quest. And we survived. But an attack separated us. Can I trust Camp Jupiter to help?" The girl had diplomacy, Reyna would give her back. Then she froze. Half their army had been at Camp Half-Blood.
