Time passed by without notice. Kai listened to the draining hum of the computers. Tapping of keys drummed in his ears.
Everything hurt. His head spun, his mouth dried quickly with the gag, and his eyelids felt heavy. All he wanted was comfort.
Kai glanced at his arm, searing with pain. He read the word over and over.
Faggot. Faggot. Faggot. Faggot.
Tears welled in his eyes. He felt so pathetic, so stupid for thinking that this wasn't going to be torturous. Literally.
He shook his head, trying to shake away the tears, but they came out anyway. He sniffled, despite all of his effort not to make a sound. A worker looked in his direction and reached for a radio.
"Sir, the fag is crying," He voiced into the radio. It sent a shiver down Kai's back.
He worriedly looked up at the tables, all of the workers had disgusted looks. He felt himself shrink back into his skin. He attempted to wipe his eyes on his shoulder but he was too late.
The doors smashed open and Mark stormed in with a maniacal look.
"What an opportunity~" Taunted Mark, sliding a whip from a table as he walked past. Kai started to shake his head and retaliated in muffled groans, but there was no stopping Mark when he came in.
He slung the whip over his shoulder and circled Kai.
"Y'know, you have been so fun... I was planning to bargain with your friends if they ever showed, but I think I might keep you," He leaned towards Kai's face inspecting him closely. Kai was shaking all over, terrified and exhausted. "You want to go home, don't you? I see the longing in your eyes, you still have hope your friends will save you," He chuckled, standing straight. He looked down upon Kai with a condescending expression.
Quickly, he whipped forward the whip and slashed Kai's shoulder. Kai whimpered and fell back, looking away. He tried to hide the tears in his eyes that were forming again, he knew it'd only be worse if he cried.
"As if anyone actually cares enough about you to help you." Sneered Mark. He walked around Kai to stand behind him. "You're a selfish prick with no dignity." He whipped Kai's back.
Kai felt his heart hurt. He was right.
I really am a selfish prick with no dignity.
