"Mon can you pass me the salt please." Sam said to the young girl who was sitting beside her on dining table where both of their families were having dinner.
But Mon was too busy looking at Nop who was sitting across her so she didn't heard Sam's request.
"Here Khun Sam." Mon's mother gave her salt after mon didn't.
"Thank you aunt Pohn."
Sam thanked and shakes her head on Mon's lack of attention to anything other than Nop.
"I want to talk to you about something."
After dinner grandma said with serious voice. Everyone's attention was now on grandma including Mon.
"Long time ago my honorable late husband made a promise to his best friend and Pohn's father that one day they will take one step forward and will became family from friends. I remember that he told his best friend that one day his granddaughter Mon will be an Anuntrakul. He promised that Mon will became his grand daughter-in-law in future and in my opinion its time to fulfill my late husband's promise and wish."
After listening to what grandma just said every one has different expression on their faces. Mon's mother and step father was happily nodding their head to agree with grandma.
Sam was surprised because she was unaware about this promise. So were Mon and Nop. Mon had surprise look mix with happiness but Nop's eyes were filled with dread. He already guessed what's coming his way. Mon is going to be an Anatrakul, this could mean only one thing. He has to marry with Mon. But he was not ready for marriage, not with Mon or anyone else.
He knew that he had to talk with grandma but he can't right now so he decided to wait for Mon's family's departure."Pohn we will discuss about preparations of marriage on tea this sunday."
"Sure." Pohn said with over excitement and happiness. She can't describe how happy she was that her daughter is getting married in royal family.

"Grandma I don't want to get married." Nop said to his grandma just after Mon and her parents left their house.
"What do you mean you don't want to get married?" Grandma questioned or most likely gave Nop a second chance to change his statement.
"I don't want to marry yet? I am not ready." Nop gathered enough courage to stay adamant on his decision.
"Just because I didn't gave you any responsibility yet it does not mean that you are still a kid. You are turning 24 soon and I think this is right age to get married."
"Then why phi Sam is not married yet. She is over 26. Her right age to get married already passed two years ago." Nop was getting bold with his words.
Sam looked at both members of her family with wide eyes. She was just a spectator until now but now she was the subject of discussion.
"I gave her time Nop because she was handling our family business. She was not wasting her time in useless activities like you. She was saving our company from loss."
Nop sighed after hearing her grandma.
"Okay I agree with whatever you are saying but what about now. Now our business is doing good. Our company is one of the top companies of Asia so shouldn't you think about phi's marriage."
Sam was getting angry on Nop. He very well knew that she can't get married. She can't get married to a man but still he was instigating their grandma about her marriage.
"I already thaught about it Nop. The day I will find a suitable man for her I will fix her marriage and my Sam will never go against my decision like what you are doing right now."
Nop snort at grandma's words.
"Suitable? So you think Mon is suitable to be your grand daughter-in-law?"
"Absolutely. I knew that girl since her childhood. She is a well mannered, respectful and caring girl. She is perfect to be my grand daughter-in-law, to be an Anuntrakul."
"Then why don't you marry phi Sam to her."
"Nop........." Sam was shaking with fear. She was dreading this moment for her whole life and when it came she was not ready for it.
"What absurd talk is this Nop?" Grandma said with anger.
"I am saying what is true grandma. You are very sure that phi will never go against you and I am sure she will be happy to marry a woman."
"What is the meaning of your words?" Grandma asked with grimacing face.
"Nop stop......" Sam tried to stop Nop from saying anything with shaking voice but it was already late.
"Sam let him speak."
Nop was too angry with the situation he was stuck in to care about Sam's condition.
"Grandma you ever thaught that why phi doesn't have any boyfriend ever, why she never talked about liking any man to you even though she met a lot of wealthy and elites men in her business circle. You don't know the reason but I know. Truth is grandma that she is a lesbian, a homosexual. She is attracted to only women romantically and sexu..."
Before Nop can complete his sentence grandma slapped him on his face. Both siblings were shocked by this.
"Just because you don't want to marry Mon you are speaking useless things about your sister. Let me make one thing clear Nop, you are getting married to Mon and that's my final decision. You are huge disappointment to me and our family but I will not disappoint my husband because of you. I will fulfill every word he said before his death. And what you just said about Sam, I don't want to hear anything related to that in this house."
Grandma went to her room after telling her decision. Nop looked at Sam but she was too angry and disappointed at him that she didn't give him single glance before going to her room.
She was sitting in her room thinking about everything that happened in evening. She imagine a lot of scenarios in past about her coming out as lesbian to her grandma and this was one of them. Her grandma never going to acknowledge this. She will pretend that nothing happens and will make sure everyone in house do the same.
