-"I'm really curious, why are you obsessed with me"

Jay asked me , eyes locked in mine searching for answers, I felt like he was reading my mind , I felt so exposed I avoided his eyes . Jay only knew some things , he  doesn't know most things I've done , or the way i wanted to only keep him for myself. I wasn't going to tell him any of that either , in his eyes , this was the worst of me ,letting him discovering anything further will make him go from disliking me ,to pure hate , and I can't take that

-"I thought I already told you"I answered, avoiding his eyes

-"You're expecting me to believe that I'm going through all of this only because I fit your fantasies" Jay looked so serious "this doesn't make sense "

I felt a lumb in my throat, that wasn't exactly what was it , but it kind of sums ut all up,  and jay taking it too lightly wasn't something I appreciated

-"It happened to be that way" I replied, holding back my emotions from spilling with my words "Can I have some coffee?"

-"I'll get you some " Jay wasn't satisfied with my answer , but he remained as the sweet gentleman he is and didn't push me to talk further

-"You're too sweet" i smiled "You're well raised , I'm afraid you won't be able to get anything in life this way tho"

-"I don't want much of life anyway " he placed the cup in front of me

-"You said you wanted to be an actor tho, you gave up years of studying and faced your parents for that" I mentioned that , I was really curious about his thoughts

-"It , it just never happened and I can't keep chasing the same dream , I'm pushing 30 already "

-"You're only 26 , and still can dream even if you're 30" I answered him , really not getting why'd he drop a dream because of his age

-"not this one, people won't spend their time watch an immature old man learn how to act , nor directors are patient to teach an old dog new tricks" he smiled bitterly at his cup , a little dimple appearing on the side of his face "it's a lost case"

-"You know I offered you a job tho" I frowned "It's still on "

-"Honestly, thank you " Jay looked at me with gratitude, and my heart skipped a beat at how beautiful he looked , an innocent pure face "I really appreciate you helping me , but I can't trust you enough to engage in anything with you being included "

-"I.. why !!" Why would he say such a thing

-"We both know the answer to that" he stood up grabbing both cups to wash them" I am very uncomfortable with you being around , threatened even"

-"If I act better !" I held his arm "Will you work on this with me ?"

-"I won't" he said firmly, shaking my hand off him

-"I will pay you a generous amount "

-"I don't need that"

-"I'll give better terms and conditions in the contract!" .. "Exclusive promotions" .. "introduce you to other works" .. "I'll grant your career for the next 4 years" ..

I kept giving him offers , but he rejected every single one of them coldly , and it started to irritate me . I needed him to be on this work , and I've been delaying it for a while , everyone's so excited for it that they're asking to change the cast if it'll make the process faster

But how could I change the cast , while I wrote it as a whole for him , for us . No one will give my jaan (🌚) justice like he will , he was born to be jay , he was born for jay to portray him , and I'd rather lose my investments , reputation and career than to give this significant character to someone else .
