Del laid on the floor, deep in oblivious slumber with his crimson hair falling gently across his face. Unstirred even as dark red blood splattered across his face; he remained still and unmoving, as if he were a corpse.

He stayed unaware of the young España kneeled beside his body, shaking his arm in a desperate, pathetic attempt to wake the older boy up. The younger Country Master had tears rolling down the sides of his face, staining the carpet below in contrast with the transparent tears that left España's eyes contrasted with the golden tears prickling at the sides of Del's eyes.

"Del..." España called to the older boy again, shaking his shoulder this time, "Wake up... I'm scared..."

España flinched when the sound of something akin to glass and crystal was thrown across the room, making a sharp crashing sound that instinctively led to España covering his ears to block out the ear-splitting noise.

The Empire grunted as brushed off a piece of golden shard from his shoulder in spite of the sharp pain shooting up to his forearm when he did, eyebrows furrowing as he stared at the large injury on his arm.

A large bite mark had formed on the forearm, tearing even through the thick fabric of his sleeves and Country Master skin that shouldn't have been torn by any normal means. The skin had been completely peeled off, bone and flesh exposed to the suddenly cold air.

The Empire stared at the small boy he threw across the throne room. No, it wasn't just a small boy. He had nearly the same features as Del, a flag and flesh that just never seemed to tear even as the Empire gashed at the boy's throat with a dagger.

Martial pants heavily as he glares at the tall man in the middle of the throne room. He glanced at his right leg, a piece of his shin missing and a large crack split across his thigh. In spite of this, Martial stood up, using the wall for support as he stumbled and kept his glare directly on the Empire.

From the corner of the room, Hukbalahap watched the entire scene go down as she slowly made her way towards Del, trying to not get the Empire to notice as she swept pass España and held Del close to her.

"Kuya Del," Hukbalahap whispered, clutching Del's hand in hers as she pulled Del a little further away from Martial and the Empire, "Me and Mashie are here now. We're going to save you!"

España stared at Hukbalahap and Del for a while, wondering who the unknown girl was as he watched how she expressed ever bit of concern over the unconscious boy. The longer he stared, the more he began to notice the similarities between the two. He noticed the Sun-shaped pendants that hung around their necks and the golden blush under their eyes. They were related, perhaps.
