Ok let's just explore how Alexander and Hazel would work once they're adults.
Robin Steven is probably gonna touch on it in the new book (ministry of unladylike activity) but it's coming out in October and rn it's June
So obviously Hazel has her top secret ministry spy thing. But I think they would have been planning on going to Oxford together but obviously they can't bc of the war. Also idk if Alex would go to Oxford I think he would really like Cambridge so maybe long distance?
Anyway I don't think they would break up for ages until either they get married or like fall out of love, but if someone was gonna break up it would probably be Hazel.
Long distance would definitely work bc they were writing letters for like years now but it would be really cute and romantic and Daisy would definitely find one at some point and grill Hazel abt it, then when she met Alex again fucking interrogate him.
I think they would be THAT pda couple. Not like full-on making out in the middle of the street, but lIke being really cute and like all over each other in a sort or hand holding, arms-around-each-other kinda way. Daisy would be third wheeling but she doesn't care and has Amina anyways.
Nicknames omg! I think Alex would call her love or sweetheart and Hazel would call him babe/honey.
Overall they would be an adorable couple (it wouldn't have to be a headacnon if they were actually mentioned together im the books omfg I'm crying) but Daisy would have NONE of it w the eye rolling and pretending to gag and shit.
