Loki's POV
"Just come on out darling!" I yelled out for y/n, we had decided to play a game while everyone was in the palace at the feast. She was hiding somewhere while I tried to find her. We've been doing this for about two hours now. She was good at hiding, I'll give her that.

I walked around the gardens, the moonlight lighting up the bushes and plants. I walked past a large tree, hearing a small gasp. I paused and turned around, looking up at the tree I saw a figure perched on the branch, I sent a small green spark up to it, catching her off guard, giving me a defeated pout, I chuckled and put my hands on my hips

"Come on down sweetheart." I said, loud enough for her to hear it, she carefully descended off the tree, walking to me with a smile, before she reached even five feet close to me, she dashed off. I ran after her, laughing as she stumbled over her feet a few times, she turned the corner and was out of sight, I paused in confusion, catching my breath before slowly walking around the turn, seeing if I could find any hints on where she went.

The small hallway was empty, the columns not exactly thick enough for someone to hide behind. Not even a child could hide behind them.

So where in Valhalla did she go?

I smelt the faint smell of her coconut and vanilla scent, her coconut shampoo following everywhere she goes. But the only problem was that her scent was not everywhere, making whirls around me, overwhelming my senses with her smell.

I didn't even hear her footsteps when she managed to sneak up behind me, grabbing my shoulders and shouting 'boo'. But before I could grab her she was gone like the wind.

I whirled around in circles, trying my best to catch my cheeky woman.

My body tensed when I felt another body jump on my back, I grabbed their arm and whirled them around, their body pressed to my front and my hand around their throat, only the small gasp and the sight of brown hair made me release my hold, chuckling at the glare she gave me

"Are you crazy?" she exclaimed, looking at me as if I grew three heads, I put my hand to my chest in false offense

"Me?? I'm not the one jumping on people's backs unannounced." I retaliated, she raised an eyebrow and tilted her head to the sight, silently agreeing with my argument. I smirked and pulled her into my arms, my face resting in the crook of her neck. Kissing it softly where I gripped it "But I'll still give you the win..."

At that she silently hissed out the word 'Yes' pumping her fist in the air in victory, I chuckled against her skin, tightening my hold around my girl. Her fingers ran through my shoulder length hair, making me exhale softly.

It was a habit of hers to run her fingers through my hair whenever we were together... it was something that comforted me in one way and turned me on in another. And she very damn well knew that.

"Let's play another round... maybe this time you can win the champion..." she challenged, I smiled and nipped the soft skin of her neck, making her squirm in my grasp, I then shook my head softly, pulling away from her warm embrace

"I've got a better idea..." I muttered softly, she looked at me with a quirked eyebrow, I realized how dirty that sounded and immediately began chuckling, grabbing her hand and leading her to a small path along the garden. She followed beside me, her hands linked in mine. The wind nipped at our skin, sending chills down my spine. The stars prickled the sky in the most intricate ways, the sight of the other planets were also placed along the night sky, blue and purple stardust splashed along the dark sky, it was all perfect.

Perfect for tonight, perfect for me and perfect for what was only minutes away. I paused abruptly, making y/n look at me concerned. I looked around to make sure no one was watching when I suddenly dragged y/n into a wall of bushes, making us disappear into one of my alcoves. The view from in there was amazing, you could see all the stars and planets, all of Asgard. There was a small water fountain in the middle and benches around it. But there was a certain bench that watched out to all of Asgard.

I pulled y/n's hand gently, leading her to that bench. She was taking in the scenery, her lips parted in awe. Her eyes wandering all over the place and finally landing on me. Her lips curled into a soft smile, her hand tightening around mine lovingly... if only she knew.

We sat down on the bench, looking over the sight of Asgard, the infinite cosmos above us. The wind was still chilly but bearable, well, to y/n of course. It didn't bother me much.

"I tell the stars about you..." I whispered, she looks over at me and grins, leaning her head against my shoulder.

"Is that so?" she whispered back, I hummed in response, grabbing hold of her hand and holding it softly in mine, raising it to my lips, placing a kiss to it.

"Yes... They know a lot about you my darling. they know your flaws that I've managed to love so deeply. They know when you cry and when you laugh." I murmured softly, she tilted her head up to look at me properly, prickles of tears in her eyes

"What exactly do you say about me?" she asked quietly, a soft quiver to her voice.

"Ask them... they'll tell you." I whispered, my heart beating loudly and my blood gushing in my ears.

"you want me to ask the stars what you say about me?" she asked, a little in disbelief but mostly finding it amusing. I nodded and smiled at her

"Do it... trust me." I mumbled, my voice too shaky to say it any louder. She rolled her eyes slightly and looked up at the night sky, her lips parting as she began to speak

"Hello dear stars, what does my amazing lover tell you about me?" she said a little sarcastically, I chuckled and she smiled

"They won't hear you! You have to ask them louder!" I exclaimed from beside her, letting go of her hand

"What does he say about me?!" she asked louder, her eyes sparkling with joy. I couldn't hold back any longer... I really couldn't.

"Close your eyes and ask them louder!" I say, she smiled wider and closed her eyes this time shouting loudly, thankfully I had a sound proof spell on this alcove.

"WHAT DOES HE SAY ABOUT ME?!" she shouted, the moment she had closed her eyes, I moved off the bench, walking to stand in front of her. When she opened her eyes she froze

I was knelt to the ground, a small velvet box in my hands, the beautiful gold band that held a diamond in the middle, three green emeralds on either side of the diamond was on full display to her, she was still and frozen, her hands shaking ever so slightly as they came up to her mouth

"They said I tell them about how much of an amazing person you are. About how you've saved me in ways you least expected. About how you're so smart and witty that it knocks the breath right out my lungs and how you give it back to me by simply speaking or touching me-" I took in a breath, the sight of her tears running down her cheeks and her eyes filled with pure joy and love making me continue. "-About how I tell them every night that one day I would ask you to be my forever. I want to marry you. I want to wake up by your side every morning and fall asleep with you in my arms. So will you make me the happiest man in all realms and allow me to be your husband?"

I finished my question with a slight bow of my head, looking up at her through my lashes. A form of subjugation to my woman.

"Loki... Yes! Yes yes yes yes and a million times more yes!" she cried, jumping to her feet, the tears running freely from my eyes as I stood with her, slipping the beautiful band on her finger, the moment it was bedded on her finger I kissed it, looking at her and cupping her face, pulling her in for a passion filled kiss.

Our first kiss as newly engaged. Our first kiss marking the day we were officially for each other.

I was hers and she was mine. She would be my forever and I can only hope to be hers.
