Cat and Mouse pt1- x

Cat and mouse.

Running from the claws of inevitable death and danger- treading with light footsteps to not get caught. Breathing as shallow as the tide against the sand of the beach.

I ran down the halls of the palace, dodging maids and guards narrowly. The moon was high and proud in the sky, accompanied by millions of cosmos and galaxies. The only lighting to guide me down the halls were the torches on the walls and the dim light from the moon.

My chest hurt from the way my heart pounded in it, desperately trying to jump out of my chest- bouncing off of each of my ribs. My lungs burned from the lack of oxygen and from the adrenaline of what was to come. I ducked into a dark hallway, lifting a finger to my lips at the confused guard. Leaning against the wall, I quietly caught my breath. My palms over my chest and mouth.

I backed up further into the dark, cold hallway. The guard watched me with narrow eyes before widening them, realization hit me when my back was pressed up against a broad, lean chest. My breath left my lungs, shuddering.

"Found you," he whispered in my ear in a low, sultry voice, making my heart beat just a bit faster "Just because I know you won't be able to walk tomorrow, I'll let you run again.. This time, if I find you.. I fuck you right there."

"And if you don't find me?" I whispered back, hoping that the guard couldn't hear anything we were saying. I felt Loki's chest vibrate against my back, a low chuckle tickling my ear.

"Oh, don't you worry, Darling. I'm gonna find you. That's a promise-" he whispered, his hands moving down to my hips. The sight looked innocent from afar, but up close you could see his fingers digging into my flesh and the smallest kiss being placed behind my ear "Slowly walk your way out of here, I want to watch you all nice and pretty dressed up in my colors. Then, I want you to run as fast as you can and hide. Understand, pretty girl?"

His voice set tingles down my arms and in my stomach. I nodded silently and walked away from him, feeling his eyes moving down my body. The guard nodded politely at me as I walked pass him. Turning the corner, I took in a huge breath and dashed down the halls again, trying to think of where I should go to hide from Loki.

"If I find you... I fuck you right there."

I shuddered at the thought, looking over my shoulder to see an empty hallway. I continued to run, eventually giving up and running into my chambers. My legs burned and my throat was dry. A sheer layer of sweat covered my body, most of it from running and the other from the thought of Loki rail-

Let's pause for a second and rewind.

{An hour ago}

King Odin had hosted a huge banquet for some political reunion between two realms. I was dressed in my fiancé's colors, green and gold. The dress fell over my body like curtains of silk, fading from a light green to a darker one at the bottom. Gold ribbons wrapped around my waist in an intricate design and ran down my shoulders and arms as sleeves. My neck adorned a pretty gold necklace and green gems wrapping around my throat like a collar- Per Loki's wishes- beautiful golden rings decorated my fingers, none comparing to the beautiful jewel on my ring finger.

Loki couldn't take his eyes off of me when I walked in. He was stood above the stairs along with his brother, Thor. Loki wore a beautiful black suit with green accents around the collar and cuffs of his jacket, the waist coat he wore was a dark green, contrasting against the white, sophisticated shirt he wore. His hair slicked back in a low bun, a few pieces framing his face.
