"I win" Natasha said pinning my arms above my head and grinning down at me. We were sparring for about 2 hours, did I win? No. Did she beat me like every other time? Yes.

"Yeah yeah, now get off of me.." I said in between huffs, she got off of me and extended her hand so I can pull myself up. Using her help, I hoisted myself back onto my feet. I walked past Nat and grabbed my water bottle, chugging down the cool liquid; I grabbed my gym back and headed out the gym, looking over my shoulder with a smile before calling out a bye to her "see ya Nat!"

"Bye Bye!" she yelled back, going to do her own thing.

I went up to my room with an exhausted sigh, hopping in the shower and letting the warm water sooth my aching muscles. Scrubbing the sweat from my body and hair, I relished under the steam. Glad that training was finally over.

After I finished showering, I changed into some black sweatpants and a t-shirt, throwing a cashmere sweater over it since it was snowing outside. After months of scorching hot sun, the fluffy white snow finally decided to show itself, coating the streets and buildings with a blanket of white.

I walked around the tower trying to find something to do, walking into the kitchen and saw Loki grabbing a water bottle, he was dressed in casual wear, an odd sight to see... he had on grey sweats along with the mint green sweater that covered him nicely.

He smiled at me when he saw me, gently kissing my temple before walking away and off to wherever it was that kept him entertained. I turned to the counters and made myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, continuing my hunt on finding something to do with food in my system.

I made my way to the elevator and pressed the floor where the library was; soft music playing overhead on the speakers. The heater was on to provide a little warmth from the freezing snow outside. Finally, the metal doors opened up and I stepped out. Walking towards the 9 foot tall mahogany wooden doors that would lead me into the library, I opened the doors and shut them behind me with a thud. Shelves lined the walls full with literature, dating back to 1906.

The sweet, musky smell of the room welcomed any visitor. I made my way over to the fantasy section of the books and picked out the one I wanted. I made my way to the corner where I usually read, only to find Loki sprawled out on the couch with his own book propped in his hand

"You stole my spot..." I said softly, grabbing the back of a smaller cushion chair and dragging it towards a window. He looked up at me and then down at the chair, smiling teasingly at me

"Forgive me, darling," he said, his thick Asgardian accent rolling off his tongue "but I quite like this spot."

Loki and I got along quite nicely, he was much nicer to me than to any other avenger. Of course, that's because I was his girlfriend but that still never stopped him from threatening me or pranking me... but I didn't mind, as long as it kept him from hurting or causing some sort of mischief with the others. That was what was important...

"Its fine, I'm just gonna sit over here..." I said plopping myself on the chair, resting my legs on one of the bookshelves. I heard a soft hum in agreement before silence covered us.

Loki and I read in the calm silence, letting the fantasy and the world of reading take us by our hands, leading us away from the world and into our own. Each word off the page came to life, and played out like a movie in our heads. Soon enough the inky words turned into characters and sceneries in our mind.

The only thing that pulled me out of reading was Loki's movements, he stood up quickly and closed the windows. Only now did I realize the blizzard outside. I stood from my spot quickly when the window snapped open and snow flurried inside. I pushed them closed and sighed, teeth chattering from the icy wind that tormented us. Loki didn't sit back down in the couch, no, he moved over to the old furnace that never worked...

I opened my mouth to tell him, but my words were cut short when the warm, orange blaze ignited the pit. I stared at the flame for a moment, dumbfounded at the heat he managed to bring back to the library

"Come out here, Love. It's less cold." Loki said, patting the empty spot next to him. With a grin, I walked over to him, sitting next to him on the couch, a respectable amount of space between us. He didn't like that of course, so he pulled me by the waist and kept me right beside him, pressed into his side. I smiled softly, opening my book up again, losing myself in the world between the pages. I don't know how long passed before I felt something against my shoulder, Loki had fallen asleep and his head fell on my shoulder.

Smiling softly, I moved the book from his hands, his slender fingers curling around it protectively. I managed to wriggle the book out his hands and put it beside me along with my own book. Running my fingers through his hair gently..

His hair might've looked like it wasn't pleasant to run your fingers through but oh how you would be wrong..

His hair was surprisingly soft, a few knots here and there but it was very soft. I heard a soft mewl come from him, making me stop running my fingers through his black locks, my whole body freezing slightly to not wake him

"Keep doing that..." he murmured, making my eyes widen.. Was he talking to me? I stayed still for a second, hesitating my next move. Loki cracked his eyes open and looked at me, his blue-green eyes looking up at me lazily "Keep doing that.. It feels nice.."

I smiled softly, pushing his head down slightly, he complied and laid his head on my lap before closing his eyes again. I combed my fingers through his hair again, enjoying the quiet hums and mewls he made. He was normally a closed off person, never interacting with people or attending events or meetings. For him to doze off on my lap and let me play with his hair was a huge step.. Being his girlfriend was an even bigger step

I felt his fingertips graze my calf, shifting his position so that he laid on his stomach with his head still in my lap, one arm tucked around my waist and the other hanging off the couch. His fingertips ran up my calf, touching my exposed ankle then sliding over the material of my sweatpants, playing with the fabric of it. I simply smiled at him, he acted like a child being lulled to sleep by his mother.. I felt honored to be the person he felt comfortable around.. The person he allowed to see him in his most vulnerable moments

"You'll knock me out like this, darling.." he murmured tiredly, I chuckled and combed his hair from his face

"I can use that to my advantage now.." I chuckled, scratching his scalp gently "If you're being annoying, I can just knock you out"

I heard him laugh softly and tug gently at the loose fabric on my leg. Practically purring when I scratched his scalp, I heard him inhale before moving his arm up and drape it over my knees

"You're my comfort person.." I heard him whisper before he was out like a light.. I couldn't help but smile at his words, leaning down and pressing a soft kiss to the side of his head, adjusting myself to lay down slightly, his head now on my lower stomach. I closed my eyes and played with his hair

"And you're mine.." I whisper softly, falling asleep with the exhaustion of training all day and Loki's arms wrapping around me protectively.
