They both were sitting in the doctor's cabin. Roshni clutched Daksh's hand tightly while the doctor went through her reports.

"Daksh...I'm scared," Roshni whispered in his ear. Daksh gave her a soft smile knowing very well that the doctor's visit was never easy for her.

"Don't worry, I'm with you. Now calm down," he murmured back firmly.

The doctor adjusted her glasses and looked at them. "I would recommend iron pills, nothing more. And please, don't give her any medicine without our knowledge, not even a simple fever reducer."

She pressed the buzzer and called for the nurse, who appeared within minutes.

"Take her weight, blood pressure, and urine sample and also blood sample for test of any infection, and get her dressed for a physical exam," the doctor instructed. The nurse nodded immediately.

"Let's go, madam," the nurse said gently, but Roshni looked quickly at Daksh.

"Roshni, go. Why are you scared? It's just blood pressure and weight," Daksh coaxed her with a soft smile.

"Come with me," she insisted, tugging on his arm.

"Roshni, you just have to sit on the examination bed. He'll be right here," the doctor reassured her with a patient smile.

Reluctantly, Roshni sat on the bed, pouting like a child, while the nurse wrapped the cuff around her arm to take her blood pressure.

"So, you're Ayaan's brother," the doctor said suddenly, making Daksh lift his head. He simply nodded.

"He booked this appointment twice and canceled both times. That's why I recognized the name," she continued. Daksh nodded again.

"Your brother is very smart. Too bad he's younger than me," she added playfully. Daksh gave a stiff, awkward smile.

Roshni narrowed her eyes at their casual exchange and quickly signaled Daksh to come stand beside her.

"I think I can go and stand with her, right?" Daksh asked, and the doctor nodded her approval.

He walked over, and the doctor also joined them to check the readings.

"Did you check everything?" the doctor asked the nurse.

" Yes, everything is normal. Just the urine sample is left, ma'am. Can you take the sample in this?" the nurse said, handing Roshni a small cup.

Roshni stared at it, then looked helplessly at Daksh.

"Go," he whispered, urging her gently.

She went unwillingly and returned a few minutes later, wrinkling her nose as she handed the container back to the nurse.

"It's disgusting," she muttered under her breath.

The doctor smiled softly. "We're done for today. Let's meet again in your third month." She wrote something on a paper and handed it to Daksh. "Go to the nurse station and get these medicines as well."

Daksh nodded taking the slip from the doctor and held Roshni's hand and they exited the room together.

"That was easy. Let's go to a restaurant now and eat something nice," Roshni said happily, relieved it was over.

"Ayaan told us to meet him before leaving. And we have to collect these medicines too. We'll meet him first," Daksh replied.

They went up to the third floor and called Ayaan, who appeared within minutes.

"How was it? What did the doctor say? Give me the papers, let me see," Ayaan said, snatching the sheet from Daksh's hand.

He scanned it quickly and then looked at Roshni.

"Roshni, don't create any drama in front of the nurses. If you do, they'll hold you down, and you won't like that. And only you will be allowed inside, so don't panic." Ayaan said calmly to Roshni then turned to Daksh.

"Daksh you can get the iron pills while Roshni gets her shot done." Ayaan instructed, handing the paper back.

"What drama? What alone? What are you talking about?" Roshni said nervously, clutching Daksh's arm tightly.

"I told you about the shot at home, remember? So, best of luck. Bye!" Ayaan said quickly as someone called him.

Roshni turned to Daksh in alarm. "Daksh, I don't want this. He never told me about a shot. Let's go home."

"It's for the baby. Just take it, okay?" Daksh said, trying to keep calm.

"What okay? I'm going home. In the first place, I never wanted a child. Lets leave right now otherwise, I wouldn't have taken any pill!" Roshni shouted feeling upset suddenly.

"Roshni, can you shut up? We already discussed this," Daksh snapped.

"No, we didn't discuss me getting a shot and going alone into some room with a nurse! I'm not going. I'm going home!" She stepped back, but he caught her wrist.

Daksh tried to speak softly at first, but when she kept refusing, his patience broke. He yelled harshly and grabbed her arms.

"Why are you shouting at me in front of everyone? Can't you talk normally?" she cried, her eyes wet.

"I tried," Daksh growled, still pulling her along.

When they reached the designated room, he released her hand abruptly.

"Go inside. Come out after you're done. And take this with you," he said, shoving the paper into her hand.

She looked at him with teary eyes and tried to hold his hand, but he stepped back and sighed, gesturing toward the door with his fingers.

"I won't go," she whispered stubbornly.

"Roshni, don't make me repeat myself. Go inside," he said, glaring at her. She shook her head fiercely.

"Then come with me," she pleaded again, trying to grasp his hand.

"I'm not allowed. I'll wait here. It'll be super quick," he said firmly.

" I won't go alone. I don't want to. Just tell Ayaan I can't go in alone, please!" she sobbed, tears spilling freely now.

Daksh sighed his heart melting seeing her tears but knowing the shot was also necessary he kept firm. "Fine. Let's just take your medicines," he said coldly, striding away.

Roshni almost had to run to keep up with his speed as he walked.

After collecting the medicines, Daksh headed straight home. Even when Roshni begged him to stop at a restaurant, he ignored her completely, driving in silence.

"Why are you angry now? Who's pregnant here, me or you? Why do you keep changing your mood again and again?" Roshni yelled suddenly.

"Roshni, keep your voice down," Daksh warned.

"Why? You can yell at me in front of all those people in the hospital, but I can't raise my voice even when we're alone?" she shot back.

"Like I don't try to talk to you calmly," Daksh snapped, glaring at her from the driver's seat.

"I just didn't wanted to go alone. Ayaan will give me that shot why are you being angry unnecessarily." Roshni snapped.

"Why don't you understand? You can't expect Ayaan to always be here for you. He has his own work too he's busier than us," he added sharply.

Roshni turned her face away and stayed silent for the rest of the drive, her heart aching.

When they reached home, she rushed straight into their room and locked the door from inside, leaving Daksh standing outside in heavy silence.
