Daksh's pov

It had been an hour, and she was still crying. My chest tightened with every sob that left her lips. I had no idea what exactly had happened, but my blood was boiling just thinking about it. The faint marks on her lips weren’t just marks they were proof. Proof that someone has kissed her forcefully.

I cupped her face gently, though my hands were trembling with rage.
"Roshni, baby, please tell me what happened and try not to cry again."

"He kissed me," she whispered in broken voice. My heart dropped. Her eyes welled up again, and I instinctively pulled her closer, rubbing her back in slow circles to calm her though inside I can feel anger bubbling inside me.

"Please stop crying, Roshni. Don’t you trust your husband? I swear I’ll break every bone of the man who dares to touch you. Just don’t cry, my love," I said, my tone get sharper than I intended.

"I'm sorry." She said before hiding her face in her hands. Why is she even apologizing. I clenched my fists behind her back, forcing myself to breathe evenly so she wouldn’t feel my fury shaking through me.

"Take your time. Let’s get you dressed. Or do you enjoy sitting on my lap like this too much?" I teased softly, slipping my palm under the towel and rested it over her belly. When I saw that small, trembling smile appear on her lips, relief washed over me.

"Finally, I see my love smiling! Let’s head to the bedroom then," I said, lifting her in my arms, but the moment I stood up, her voice stopped me.

"He was messaging me. A week ago, he reached out, and we had a simple conversation. He asked me to come to his house and do what he said..."

I stayed quiet, forcing myself to listen, though my blood was roaring in my ears. My jaw ached from how tightly I was clenching it. I had told her before, warned her yet she hadn’t listened. And now this.

Still, when she was done, I swallowed my rage and forced myself to be steady for her. She needed my love and support right now, not my anger. Not my side which reminds her why I told her not to visit her cousin.

"All done," I said at last when she stopped talking, making her stand in front of me. My voice was calm, but from inside I wanted to punch the walls, break something. But not in front of her.

"Thanks for trusting me. Go get changed, and don’t worry about anything," I said kissing her forehead.

Her eyes fell on my palm, roughened from how hard I’d been pressing it into my thigh to stop myself from snapping at her. Then she looked up and kissed my cheek softly.

"You won’t leave me, right?" she asked, her voice small, almost trembling.

My heart ached at her fear. How could she even think that?

"Stop saying silly things and go to your room, get dressed, and come downstairs for lunch, okay?" I said firmly, though my chest was heavy.

Roshni nodded and went to her room. I sat back, running a hand through my hair, trying to calm myself.

Third person's pov

"He is upset, but I know he won't leave me. It's all my fault; I shouldn't have trusted myself. He was right. Why did I even try to use this mind. Since I have told him everything now I'm feeling so calm and relieved," she said to herself.

She stood under the shower letting the warm water wash away her anxiety. Her finger touches her lips which she aggressively washes.

After her shower, she went downstairs to find Daksh, but even after looking in the whole house he was nowhere to be found.
