I get out of bed around 7 o'clock. I didn't sleep, wait, when do I ever sleep, but this is different. we are getting picked as who we are going to play in this winter we all know who the mains are like joe locke playing charlie spring, Olivia colman playing sarah nelson echo playing nellie and kit connor playing nick nelson. I can not tell you how much I love kit I've never met kit in real life I saw him in the auditions on a zoom call and obviously on TV but never in real life so this will be different.
I go to the bathroom to freshen up and walk to my wardrobe and pick out a slipknot t-shirt and a black checkered flannel, I walk over to my chest of drawers and take out some black ripped jeans, I lay out my clothes on my bed with some chains to put on my jeans and my black Hightops. I walk back into the bathroom, and I go to replace my transtape.'Don't look, don't look'. I keep saying in my head. I'm able to change my transtape without looking too much, and I go to fix my mullet. I walk back to my bedroom and get dressed. I'm so excited about this. I hope I get the role I've been wanting. I've wanted to play one of nicks cousins so badly, preferably the cousin that sees Nick kissing charlie on his front porch.
(Time skip to the casting)
"And river seabrook, you are playing Nick nelsons cousin."
I stood there in absolute shock. I saw kit standing about 5 meters away from me, smiling and clapping for me, he walks over to me gives me a high five I'm not really into human contact but its kit connor I've been waiting for this moment since I was 15 so that's 4 years I'm so so so happy I high five him back,
"Good job, river"
"Thanks, kit."
"Also, your name is really cool,"
"Thank you, I picked it myself." I laugh. Kit looks at me blankly. "I'm trans,"
"Wait, really, I thought you were cis. You pass really well,"
"Omg, that makes me feel so much better about myself."
We carry on talking together, and we get given our scripts and we read through them together, we have been spending quite alot of time together in the past 3 hours I thought he would of left me alone after he congrats me. About half an hour later, we wrap up today, and we all get ready to leave. I take a few pictures with the cast and some with just me and kit.
I go to walk out of the studio when kit stops me
"River"
"Yeah,"
"Do you want to meet up for lunch tomorrow? Seems as we aren't filming tomorrow, and I guess I just want to get to know you better?" He asks
"Yeah, sure." I smile
"Cool, can u just have your number so I can text you the details?"
"Okay, sure." I hand him my phone, and he types in his number.
"Okay, see you tomorrow river"
"See ya," i wave
I walk back to my apartment and shut the front door. I sit on my sofa, and then it hits me. I've met kit, he gave me his number, AND WE ARE MEETING UP FOR LUNCH TOMORROW. I start internally screaming. I clench my phone while jumping up and down and flapping my arms (this is my why of showing that I'm happy) then star rolling on the floor, soon my happiness is blocked off when I feel my phone vibrate I unlock my phone and see who's texted me, a unknown number, I click on it and the text
'Hey river, it's kit. I hope you made it home safe. I'll text you the details now,
The place I was thinking we could meet is maybe nags head by the london.'
'Thanks, kit, meet you there'
I can't wait to meet up with him tomorrow
