4 Elements (A Love Poem)

"I can't stop the rain

But I will keep you dry

If the shore feels far away

I'll be by your side

When the storm arise

I will shelter you

When your sky is gray

I will give you blue"

Sometimes

The greatest way to describe love

Comes from the deepest and inevitable parts

Of you heart

Your mind and your soul

Will match the firmament of your spirit

And you'll become one with yourself

I know I'm not your friendly neighborhood love poet

But I have a clear concise understanding of what love is

And when I see you

When I hear you

I know that love is real because we're united in agape

Here's the poem

Genesis 2:5-7, 18, 21-24

"No shrubs had appeared on the earth

No plants were sprung up

God had not sent rain

And there was no one to work the ground

But streams came

And watered the surface

Then He formed a man from the dust

Breathed into his nostrils the breath of life

And he lived

God said "It is not good for man to be alone

I will make a helper suitable for him"

He causes the man to fall asleep

While he was resting

God took one of the man's ribs

Closed up the flesh and then He made woman

The man said

"This is now bone of my bone

Flesh of my flesh

She shall be called woman

For she was taken out of man"

A rekindling flame that never goes out

A light that shines in dark times

You set the world ablaze

So I'll never have a problem being engulfed in you

You bring me to chorus with the fire we make

Causing eruptions and pyrotechnic explosions

Nobody can do it the way you do it

Your passion brings a newness to life

With you I have everything

Without you I'll suffocate

You're my air

Your voice is calming like summer winds blowing

Heaven knew what it was doing when you were created

You make the earth blush every time you walk

Trees begin to sway in the distant yet rising sun

Out of the ground, you bloom like lotus flowers

Show me the way to surrender to you

Any wish you may have

I will fulfill

Any scars you have

I want to help you to heal

Let's be like water

A clear blue with green hues

Shining and sparkling from ocean views

Eclipsing in ethereal and effervescent beauty

No contamination or pollution

Will keep me from loving you

You won't sink

You won't drown

I'll have us staying afloat

You'll never be comatose even when life rocks the boat

I'll be your anchor

I'll be standing by your side

In a blink of an eye

I'm yours

Your mine

Nothing can separate us

This love can even stop the hands of time

Because we don't have to wait for anyone

All we need is each other

And that's the only thing that matters

I'll shield you from the rain

I'll keep you away from the pain

Cater to you when you're having a bad day

Relieve you of them storm clouds

Have you smiling so much

That you don't have any words to say

Each element shows me the perfection God made

And that's you

Man

I really love you

You're the greatest blessing one can behold.
