Depth Over Distance (Interlude)

We were so close and so far
A never-ending love so true
But distance kept us apart
And what we felt had to remain in our hearts.

The depth of our love was so strong,
But because of the distance, we were undone
Still, we both held on for so long,
And in the end, we chose to be eternally separated

Though distance kept us apart
We never stopped hoping for something more
We knew that it was so hard
But we kept fighting till the very end

The pains and sorrows that we shared
Were simply testament to the depth of our love
We ignored our physical distance
And kept our faith which was enough.

Distance does not weaken true love
It only makes it stronger with time
We both came to realize this
And we gave our love its due shine

So, even though we had to part
Our love withstands the test of time
Compassion, tiding through space and stars
The depth of our love never declined.
