I wrote a poem about you...
Wow!

That's honestly something I'd never expect to say
But, hey since you're here, why don't you stay?
For I am God's Masterpiece
Who's trying to master my own peace.
See it's already difficult to spill my feelings
Yet expressing it through a poem is healing
From the tears of my eyes that burns with fire
To the events that led to our desires

Comprehending the fact that I allowed you in me
Speaking about it is my expression to be free
Now, I will say that you're definitely a lesson
But one thing for sure, God got me a blessing.
As I face the music in writing this piece
All I can say is you are a masterpiece.

I wrote a poem about you
Who'd thought I'd ever say that?
I mean did I really say that?
It's already difficult to wrap this thought up
And the last thing I want to be is stuck
Stuck in thought where I end up speechless
I mean hey, can you actually believe this?

I wrote a poem about you
Oh yes, it's real and really true
Selena's "Dreaming about you" came on tonight
And all I hope was to be comforted and held tight
I must admit it's difficult to explain how I'm feeling
My heart and you are the only things missing
Is my vision deceiving in what I see?
With the words I'm telling, are you coming towards me?
Like the group Total sang:

 "Can't you see?"
"What you do to me

You were made for me."
Yet, am I dreaming for even thinking about it?
The last thing I want to feel is foolish.
All I know is I ain't got the time for the bullshit.
See my days are cold without you.
Words by Ashanti as an ode to you.
As the reminiscing of memories continues to come up
The last thing I want to do is mess this poem up.

I wrote a poem about you
Where do I go from this point?
The point of no return
Where the pain doesn't hurt.
I find myself writing this poem as an ode to you
As I conclude this letter dedicated to you
I wanted to let you know

I wrote a poem about you

- (A.E. White)

I wrote a poem about you

You became the reason why I love writing poetry

Every metaphor opens a door to something innovative

And writing about you is truly the greatest

Your story is my Daily Bread

I'm filled with so much sustenance

Penning every detail from start to finish

You're the perfect subject to every sentence

Words must get envious because of how I describe you poetically

I wrote a poem about you

And I'll spit it all day and all night

Because I want to

The silkiness of your skin

Your moving congeniality

Has me on a high

That's why I'll always be yours

And you'll always be mine

I wrote a poem about you

While listening to Lloyd's Southside

Learning to only admire you rather than trying to idolize

I'm a movement by myself

But honored to be a force when we're together

Cause all I need in this life full of jealousy and sin

Is you

My B.U.D.D.Y.

My summer rain

This life is greater than a movie

So that makes you my favorite and best part

And no

I'm not trying to pressure you

I can't help it and can't stop thinking about you

I hope one day you'll be my girlfriend

All you got to do is say yes

Only if and when you're ready

I wrote a poem about you

It feels so right and so good

Not only to be able to love you

But to be loved by you

And I will cherish each and every present moment

Until the day I die and after that

You're poetry in motion

You take my breath and pain away

God knew what he was doing

When He showed me you

Now we're here

In sync

In tune

In complete harmony

Fulfilling the words Paul spoke in 1st Corinthians 13

Love endures all things

It always protects

Always hopes

Always trusts

Always perseveres

You've been so sick of love songs

And you're done with the tears

You don't need to wish any more for me to be there

I'm right here

With no desires to go anywhere

I wrote a poem about you
Where do I go from this point?
The point of no return
Where the pain doesn't hurt
I find myself writing this poem as an ode

A manifesto

A hymn of praise orchestrated by God

To you
As I conclude this letter dedicated to you
I wanted to let you know

I love you.
