When I was lost in darkness
You came around and rescued me
When my heart filled with sorrow
You brought in a new tomorrow
My heart, at times, is still broken
But you give me strength to stay strong
You make sure I don't forget
What really matters in this life
You took me away from my past
And showed me a better way
You taught me how to heal my soul
And how to love in a genuine way
I now share my heart with you
You understand the pain I feel
When I'm low you make me very aware of the king I am
And show me just how much you care
I know true love exists
And I am willing to take the risk
To step away from my past heartache
To give love another chance
I'm looking forward to your mesmerizing hugs
Cannot wait to bask in your tender kisses
An opportunity to have you
I will never miss
When I write about you
I feel like I can fly
Loving you brings joy to my spirit
Loving you washes away the tears from my eyes
I learned to break away from pain
Learned to find true love again
I'm grateful to find what I had been missing
That is learning to love the right one
And that's you
That's why I love you.
