Chapter thirty-one

Jaanvi and Aditya left after Sahil and Srishti insisting them that they would keep them updated. Jaanvi didn't want to leave but what choice did she have when Sahil and Srishti were so persistent and even her father had agreed. She decided to return the next day not wanting to miss any important news related Ayaansh's health.

She even informed Pranav and Abir about the incidence and that Ayaansh was going to undergo the surgery early and the two of them had promised that they were going to be there the next day in the hospital.

Zevah was upset when she was told about everything and she expressed her anger by calling Srishti and scolding her. The two of them cried on the phone as Zevah assured her that everything was going to be okay.

Kiara heard about the whole situation when Aditya was informing Zevah and she was scared. Scared for her brother who had just returned because she didn't want to lose him when she had been waiting a long time to spend some quality time with him. She quietly slid back in her room and cried silently until Jaanvi found her and hugged her close.

"He will be fine right? I don't want him to leave, ever." Kiara asked Jaanvi, her eyes filled with tears.

Jaanvi wiped her tears even though her own heart was aching. She cupped her face, "Your brother is a fighter. In every sense." She joked. "He has been fighting with me for a long time then this is just a small surgery. He will be more than fine." Kiara giggled and Jaanvi felt relieved for that small achievement.

She stayed with Kia until she fell asleep that night before her thoughts took their own turn. Was he going to be, okay? What was going to happen tomorrow? Did Ayaansh need her there with him? She didn't really know because she had just run away after Sahil's remark and returned home after that. She didn't really get to meet Ayaansh again.

She desperately wanted to text him and ask if he was okay but resisted not wanting to disturb him. So, imagine her surprise when her phone pinged and Ayaansh's name popped up. She sat up on her bed and read his text.

Ayaansh: You will be here tomorrow, right?

Jaanvi: If you want me there, then yes.

She didn't have to wait for his reply because it came instantly.

Ayaansh: I will always want you.

Her heart stopped right there as she read and re-read the message. What has gotten into him? It must be his medications messing with his mind. She concluded in her mind and tried to sleep with her racing heart.

The next day Dr. Lucas, Ayaansh's doctor arrived to the said hospital the next day as he greeted Sahil and Srishti and assured them that everything was going to be fine. He then discussed about the case with Dr. Tarun Rathod who treated Ayaansh when he was brought to the hospital.

Jaanvi knew she had to study but Ayaansh was more important than her stupid exams so she landed in the hospital in the morning itself after informing Aditya about her departure. She found Ayaansh still sleeping when she arrived so she went to Srishti who seemed exhausted.

"Tee, did you go home even for some time at least? You need to take some rest." Jaanvi asked as she eyed Srishti worriedly. Srishti smiled and shook her head at the concern, "I'm okay baby. And I won't be able to rest at home leaving Ayaansh here." She explained but Jaanvi was still worried about her.

"You and Sahil need to go home and freshen up. Also, I know you both wouldn't have had anything either, so, please for your own health, go home." Jaanvi softly tried to persuade her and when Srishti opened her mouth to protest, she continued, "I am here. And there's still time for the surgery. Trust me, you will feel better after you freshen up and eat something."
