if you tell me you love everything about me

you tell me what you always hated
if you say I'm pretty

you point out something ugly
if you promise to always be there
I'll be waiting for the moment
you suddenly decide to leave
if you say you won't make me cry again
I'll be waiting for the moment
you hurt me again and bring back the tears
if you say you'll make it to our hangout
I'll be waiting for the moment
something comes up and you have to cancel
if you say you'll hear out my rants
I'll be waiting for the moment
you brush them off as me being unreasonable
if something is going perfectly well
I'll be waiting for the moment
it all falls apart in the worst way possible
I stopped believing in the things people say
the moment they started disappointing me
so understand that I'll take the things I hear
with a very small and thin grain of salt
