it wasn't because you were conveniently there
when I needed someone's company
because of a need for attention
or a cure for my boredom
I fell in love with you
because you showed me how good it feels
to have someone's company
to have someone's full attention
and to have someone there when you're bored
you gave me a reason to want those things
a reason to feel loved and needed
that is why I love you
don't ever mistake those words
for something they're not
