CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

Saturday 17th December 2022 Cont...

Lando POV

I can literally feel my heart shatter into a million pieces as I take in the scene in front of me. My new teammate is spooning my fiancée, with his mouth on her neck, and his arms wrapped around her waist. She has her eyes closed but a smile plays at the corner of her mouth. I'm frozen in time taking in the scene, my eyes land on an opened condom wrapper on the bedside table and my face distorts in pain, I suddenly feel like I'm suffocating. I will myself to back out of the room and I turn around, grab my bag and slam the door behind me.

Sienna POV

'What the actual fuck?'

I freeze as I hear Lando's voice from across the room. My eyes fly open in confusion. If he's over by the door then who is in bed with me?! I see his face distort in pain, and it's like I can hear his heart break. I call out to him but he turns and flees and I hear the door slam behind him.

I grab the sheets around me and jump out of the bed, startling the person beside me in the process. 'Oscar? How did this happen? What have I done? How did this happen?' I knew I was rambling but it made no sense to me how I'd ended up here. I remember Oscar bringing me home and saying goodbye to him at the front door but Oscar, he was here, in my bed, he'd been kissing my neck. I turn towards him 'GET OUT, GET OUT, GET OUT!' I scream.

'Wow, alright, bloody hell, you're crazy!' he starts picking up his clothes and edging out the door. 'For the record, you came onto me' he says as he closes the front door behind him.

Lando POV

My tears are blinding me as I stagger to the lift and punch the floor for Max and Kelly's apartment. I can barely see where I'm going as I feel my way along the hallway to their door. I knock on what I hope is the correct front door and when I get no answer I continue to knock. Please be in, please be in, please be in, I say to myself over and over again until Max appears at the door rubbing his eyes and a look of surprise on his face as he looks at me. 'Lando! What the hell happened?'

'Sienna...... Oscar.......bed.......neck......condom wrapper.........bedside table......' I shake my head, trying to get the image of Sienna and Oscar out of my mind.

'Mate, you're making no sense. Come in. Sit down. Now what were you saying about Sienna and Oscar?'

Kelly appears in the doorway at that moment and immediately runs over to me to give me a hug. 'Oh Lando, what on earth?' she says looking at Max with questioning eyes. 'I'm just trying to figure that out love' Max whispers in reply to her.

I close my eyes but the images of them together flash before me and I quickly open them again. I put my head in my hands and clutch my hair in my fingers. I take a deep breath and start to tell them what happened when I arrived home this morning. My voice starts to break as I get to the section about finding Sienna in bed with Oscar and I can't hold the tears in anymore. My shoulders shake as huge sobs rack my body.

'Kelly, stay with him, I need to make a phonecall' I hear Max say and he wanders off to their bedroom. 'Danny we've got an SOS you need to get over to Lando and Sienna's right now and help figure out what the hell is going on.'
