School has not been exceptional, I'm glad nobody noticed I'm new and I blended in perfectly. I have gathered enough information to know who to look at when I pass by them and who to ignore so I won't be in their attention; Cassey and Miranda are great friends and thanks to them I didn't have to sit alone in the cafeteria and attract too much attention around me while I'm searching for a free desk. By far it is great.

"Tell us, Mary, have you taken a crush on someone already?" Cassey asked one time.

"Why?"

"Because you haven't spoken to anyone else, except for us, yet."

"I am a shy person. I am not a people person. I'd rather not talk to anyone, but I'm glad you're here for me."

"So? Do you? Is there any cute boy who has stolen your small, frozen heart?"

"There might be, I don't know" was my usual answer, but this time my mind darted to the only boy I have spoken to since I came here: Jimmy.

Nah, Arthur.

"So there is!" Miranda yelled, which was unusual, because she's usually the shyest in our group. She loves girls talk.

"There is not! I said that just to mess with you!"

"There is! There is! If not from America, maybe someone from your country! A vampire?!"

"Oh, sure, a dark haired guy with red eyes, his full lips always ready to suck the blood in my neck, but he would never forgive himself if he did that."

"What a great story! Really, Mary, I support you for being the best author of all times." Cassey commented.

"You should be, because I will wait for you at Heaven's doors and kick you into Hell if you don't! Also, I will kill Harry."

"Haha, don't touch Harry."

"Too late!" and we all laughed at our own stupidity.

"Seriously now, who is the one you like?"

"If I tell you, don't ever tell anyone. Not even your imaginary friends."They nodded, then I whispered: "Kile Woodwork from The Heir." and they furiously disapproved.

"No way, Henri is definitely cuter!" Cassey said.

"No! I think Erik is way better!" Miranda continued.

"Well, that's your problem. I ship Kadelyn and you can't blame me for that! It's my freedom of speech! This is America!"

"No, this is Eadlyn!" and we all laughed hard. People started to observe our presence and meal time was almost over, so we had to take our bags and leave.

On the way to the English Literature class I bumped into Arthur at the entrance without Cassey and Miranda noticing. They went on and sat in the back, letting a seat open for me between them, and continued talking. I discretely caught Arthur's black sweater and smiled at him, while he was processing things, then he said: "After classes, music room?"

I nodded and went to sit between my dear friends and class started.

I was going to talk to him again.
