"And it keeps getting worse. You even start conversations about her. I hate her, even though I just met her two days ago. I hate her because she stole my knock. I hate her because she's so indecent. I hate her because she had her eyes on me for a while. I hate her because she's interrupted us that time. I hate the way she's wasting her voice, and I hate her because she's known you for a way longer time than I did; I hate her for making me jealous of her and I hate her because she likes you."
I was shocked. She said all she had to say and now she's crying and trying to drown her coughs and tears. Her eyes were closed and her fist was covering her mouth.
"Sorry for allowing you to see me like this" she said than she turned to go to the door but I stopped her. I grabbed her hand and pushed her to my chest.
- Mary -
Arthur's hand was softly caressing me and he was warm; very warm. I felt so embarrassed for confessing my thoughts, but I really thought this was the best way.
With one hand I gripped his dark-blue long-sleeved shirt, and with the other I tried to wipe my face. Probably my make up was all over me, but he didn't seem to care. His chest seemed larger than I thought. His skeleton felt like it was made specifically to embrace me. I let out a small gasp as I realized that and faced him.
His face was really close to mine, and I could feel his breathing. His chest inflated and deflated as he inhaled and exhaled. His blue-green eyes were very kind, but they seemed like they wanted to tell me something. They were sparkling with excitement.
I closed my eyes and pushed my forehead to his jaw and he embraced me with both his arms, then I rested my cheek on the base of his neck. His clavicles let open a special place just for my cheekbone, and I felt very shielded in his warm hug.
I wanted him.
- Arthur -
She's been cutely changing her position for a while now, and I felt so happy just for having her in my arms; It was like nothing had happened at all.
She suddenly raised her head and looked at my face. At my lips.
For real?
- Mary -
He smiled and happily took my offer. He lowered his head to match up with my level, and I also lifted myself on my tiptoes.
Our lips softly touched and, shyly pushing each other forward for a kiss.
I could sense my mind go blank, like when I accidentally got drunk when I went to a restaurant. I wasn't really drunk, but I was very happy for no reason at all and I really wan't thinking about anything, which was a first in my life, so my head couldn't take it that long.
This time my head didn't hurt, but I couldn't stop smiling, which probably ruined the kiss, but he was the same so I was alright.
His lips were very soft and that dark pink seemed very delicious for a reason or another, so I kissed him again, and again, we eventually fell on the couch and continued...
- Arthur -
We clumsily stumbled on the couch and laughed about it, even though it wasn't a laughing matter. We were just happy. I couldn't believe that.
I just kissed Mary, and not only once, but seventy times!
Though we both wanted to stay like that in a kiss forever, we eventually got tired and started breathing heavily, then I remembered mom and dad should be getting home by now. I looked at the door, checking if they were there or not, but she laughed.
"Don't worry. When they come they have to knock or to ring the bell, because, as far as I'm concerned, they don't have a key with them."
She suddenly seemed a thousand times more beautiful than the first time I saw her. Red rays of sun were resting on her face as she was laying on the couch, then I realized we have disturbed the way the sofa bedding was.
But I didn't really care, because she was beautiful.
Her eyes were still a little shiny from crying, and that made them by 100% green, since before that they were brown-green. Her makeup was really wiped out and only dark shadows of mascara were under her eyes, but that made her eyes look greener.
She looked at the window, closing her eyes a little because of the brightness of the sun, and I kissed her neck, and she seemed a bit surprised, but caught my head with both hands and lifted it so I would look straight into her eyes.
"I love you" I whispered, then we heard brutal knocks at the door before she could answer.
My heart jumped from its place and I could feel hers as well, as we were chest to chest.
"They're back" I mouthed and stood up and helped her do the same, we rearranged the bedding and straightened our clothes, then opened the TV and I went to the door, opened it, and mom was way too happy for just having come back from the dentist and seeing me.
"You locked the door!" father said.
"Yes! That's what it means to watch over the house!" I answered.
"Is Ela till hele?" Jimmy said with one cheek pretty big.
"Yes" and mom beamed with happiness.
"Oh, good."
I allowed them to enter and Jimmy ran straight into Mary's lap and started telling her about his trip to the dentist.
"Did you clear up things with her?" mom whispered into my ear and I was pretty surprised.
"If that's what you want to hear, yes, she'll be my guest from now on."
