I patiently waited on the piano bench for her to come. I hope she knows this time where to come. The music room isn't that far from the entrance, so she should definitely see it if she has forgotten.

I heard 7 knocks, then she opened the door, firstly checking if there was anybody inside, then, when she saw me, her face lit in a smile. Then she came in.

"Hello, how do you do?"

"Fine, up until now."

stupid, stupid, stupid.

"Is my presence that troubling for you?" she continued with a bigger smile. She understood what I didn't.

"How should I put it... I never know what to expect when I meet with you. You are always a surprising presence." her smile faded. why?

"I am full of surprises? You are the first one to tell me that." and she smiled again, shyly this time.

A weird, constant tapping could be heard at the window, and when I checked it to see what was going on, the weather has changed: it was raining. God wanted us to stay a while longer. I hope.

When I turned back to her, she was closer, almost sitting on the bench, but looking at me like she was inspecting me. Her hands were holding each other in front of her, and her head was slightly bent forward. I could feel the blood rushing into my face as she sat down, next to me, starting a melody. It took me a while to realize it was Say Something, by Christina Aguilera. She wanted me to say something, or was she trying to show off in front of me?

I watched her hands move gracefully on the keyboard and found out her lips weren't moving this time, which means she had known this melody for a while now. But I couldn't say anything.

- Mary-

He was staring at my face, but not at my eyes, because he hadn't looked away when I looked at him. He was staring at my lips? I could feel my face a bit warmer than normal, but i hope he didn't notice it. If he did, who knows what he would have done.

When I reached my limit of embarrassment, I started singing. From the middle : "Say something I'm giving up on you! I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you! Anywhere I would have followed you! Oooo, ooooooohhh. Say something I'm giving up on you! Say something I'm giving up on you...Say something..." A I finished the last keys, I looked at him again, and he was watching me this time. Not my lips, but me.

He slowly approached to my face and I couldn't get away from it. It's not that I didn't know what he was doing or that I wanted to let him, but I couldn't. I was frozen. I could hear blood travelling in my body as I looked straight in his blue-green eyes, which looked like morning on a field of flowers. They were slowly closing, and, like a spell, mine too. I could feel his heavy breathing and I could hear it as well, while I stopped breathing long ago.

Then the door flung open and and my heart stopped this time, while Arthur suddenly retreated his face and got up. I was still frozen and my chest hurt so bad as my heart beat like crazy! It scared me so bad!

"Uh oh, it seems like I disturbed something..."the one at the door said and I realized it was a girl. I slowly turned to see who it was: a tall blonde girl with her long legs exposed under the short black skirt she was wearing. Wasn't she cold in that?

"Olivia! What are you doing?" he angrily asked.

"I'm so sorry, Arty, I really didn't mean to walk in on you..."

I almost believed it. All the caps are in the right place. So that was it.

Maybe I made a weird face, because they were both staring at me.

"Who are you?" she kindly asked.

"Mary." I said, sighing.

" I'm Olivia, nice to meet you!" she walked to me, her hand up for a shake, but I felt like poking thousands of needles in her face. But I shook it after an awkward silence.

"I just wanted to tell you that Mr. Dobson is sick and we will come later tomorrow" she faced Arthur again. "Sorry, again, for what I have done and see you tomorrow!" she then left and closed the door after her.

Arthur sighed loudly and looked at me, but I wan't looking at him. I was staring at the door, making sure that she left.

"I..."he started but I raised from my seat and took my bag, and his.

"Let's go" I said.

"where?"

"Home. It's raining. You'd be drenched by the time you get home. Let me take you in my car."

"Sure"and we left the school.

-Arthur-

She didn't say anything on the way back. She was obviously mad at Olivia. I have to explain it to her...

"Olivia and I go to the same music class, but it seems that the music teacher is sick and we won't do the first class tomorrow. We did a lot of duets because she has a pretty good voice so we know each other very well. She usually comes in the room like that, so please don't be mad at her. It was an accident..."

"Don't worry, it seems I am the one that disturbed her life by coming here. Things are getting spicy" she smiled wickedly.

"Why?"

"She has a crush on you, I guarantee that. And she's been watching me from the shadows for a while, I noticed that. And she's not happy at all with our friendship. She didn't do that by accident, I assure you that."

"What?!"

"Think whatever you want, that's what was on my mind for a while now."

"No, it really seems real, but I don't think she would do that!"

"It's your right to think that, you've known her longer than I did."

"Well, this all seems like a detective, chick-lit story, and you seem to be enjoying it..."

"Of course. By the way..."

"What?"

"Don't be mad at me for what happens next..."
